  1. Judging by case profile it might even be a 6152, hard to tell without straight up picture.
  2. Late in here, buy boy do I absolutely LOVE your 6241 freddy!! Would be happy for some details some day For me tonight a Tag on nato, going to a reunion gig with the old hc band Refused here in Stockholm:
  3. This thread needs a bump! Ended up buying a nato from user timebomb here:
  4. Take a deep breath and allow some time for onzen, from what I've noticed he seems like a first class standup guys on several forums. It took me 6 months before getting in - and seriously, nothing really there that you can't find here
  5. His website is pulling queries to a database via a time zone warp to 1995, explains the long load times.
  6. Helenarou is a very good choice when going for a solid & cheap 6497. Jacksontse is another one. That RG tutorial was the exact one I was thinking about btw, good luck with the swap! Think it's a rule of thumb saying it takes 2 h the first time and 10 min the second time...
  7. Btw, there are numerous DYI guides for movement swap on the forums, can't seem to find one on my phone right now though - hoping for quick assistance
  8. What watch do you have - and does it have display or closed case back? If closed I think you can just tuck basically any 6497 in there, asian versions start around $35. ETA/Unitas versions often sell without Panerai engravings etc from e.g Ofrei, very good choices though of course. If you have an open back, you should be able to nag a replacement from your TD of choice. If it's a 111, w0lf currently have some nice ones in the sales subsection here.
  9. Guess that depends on what parameter of the op xi movement you consider most important? If beat rate then yes, if original maker and qc procedures than no...
  10. Agreed! Looks very nice. Where from and color name?
  11. Haha, yeah, times 5 or what's ok for one in serviced/good condition?
  12. Check the "y incabloc teaser" thread posted by grifter recently, very good intro to ocd behaviour
  13. Thanks for straightening that out Zig! Sorry gorouk for planting stupid thoughts in your head.
  14. +1, satisfy our lust for Zig lume!!
  15. You could try acetone, seen members at homageforum successfully sterilizing that way.
  16. Browse ebay. Your best shot is often to buy a donor watch and part out the movement. Loads of chronograph watches used the v72x/7734. I picked up a Wittnauer with a serviced 7734 for $250 a couple of days ago...
  17. That sucks, know what you're talking about... You just need to pull the trigger quicker next time
  18. Just love this thread!! The OP is excellent, but beyond that I think you Rolexman excel in giving kind, clear answers stuffed with knowledge. Somebody pin this already!
  19. Thanks for posting Gran! Shock protection seems to be on everyones mind nowadays, although look is perhaps more discussed than function
  20. And next time you order (now that you have some extra knowledge) you can opt for a higher grade ETA (top, chronometre) if you're just dying to have incabloc behind that closed back. As already pointed out, the standard ETA afaik comes with etachoc, which should serve its purpose well. Don't know what you paid DSN, but I guess a high grade ETA could cost more than your watch...
