I never said anything about getting a SWISS ETA from a dealer. I am simply suggesting that anyone who has the option of going with swiss vs. asian should just go ahead with swiss. I would say its very poor advice to tell someone that can afford the alternate to go asian as we all know the swiss ETA is a much better movement. if they can not afford the difference then asian is a good alternate

Gen is gen. Cosmetically speaking your right no reason to buy a gen. Value wise a gen will hold its value a little better and keep in mind we take rwg for grantid. Our watches only hold value here. You would never convince a friend or a local watch shopper that your replica franken is worth 1000+ he will just laugh and call you a fool for spending that on a fake. If something ever happened to the rep forums we would be in trouble!!!

Go with a BP noob sub does not compare but one frustrating thing with me is the crown gaurds are way to big and bulky compared to gen (compared mine to a gen today)

Don't get me wrong guys. I really love the new BP but we know how this hobby goes we build our hearts out on a certain case set then something better comes a long. I have a gen crystal on my BP and sooon to be crown and tube but at this point a gen dial, insert and 3135 is not ideal at this point. Sooner or later they will have a high quality case set like what we see with TC

That's the thing the case won't take a 3135 due to stem height

I just couldn't see myself putting 1000.00 dollars of gen parts into a subC at this point. We need true 1:1 cases like sean, phong, TC have in order to justify those parts other wise we are putting lipstick on the pig.

Some are put together so well and others are complete lemons like mine turned out to be so you have to be particular about the QC pics and ask the TD to personally inspect the functionality of the bracelet etc.
