Asked for tagged pics! Crown gaurds don't look good
-
I originally had the gen but at the time I thought it was too big and sold it to keep my 16610 and now I kind of regret it but oh well this rep is so good I'm satisfied

I'm curious to know how good that one is. I've heard people on TRF have had a difficult time spotting

I believe those 2 are conus

If sead doesn't have the same watch as Andrew or Josh then I can only assume he does now! And they are fantastic.

@aajaaxx007 the crown on gen rolexs don't usually sit flush with the case. With a gen case tube it will sit a little off the case

If you ordered the latest sub from him he most likely sent you the new BP model. BP is a watch manufacturer in china. Currently they made the first 1:1 subC

Thanks! Unfortunately I lost the pearl after this review!

Hello I just recently acquired a BP 116610LN from sead. Out of the box experience was a little rough the watch arrived with a DW problem but was quickly fixed. Seems like they really fixed some major and minor issues which I will point out with a list of observations. OBSERVATIONS: PROS: Has the correct AR feature found on the genuine with "black hole" effect Has the correct skinny hour hand They got the lugs spot on perfect (IMO) The firmness in the bezel rotation is PERFECT. I have owned in the past a gen 116610 and its the same The SEL fit is second to none. It does not fit too tight like most V3 bracelets on TC, BK, and Sean cases where you have to force it on to get that nice SEL. instead it just slips right into place like a gen. Crown guards are improved Pearl has the sapphire lens cover and is nicely centered. 1:1 design. This BP model does indeed use the ball bearing system rolex uses. Dial is nicely done and the LUME is awesome! it glows the same exact color as my gen did. CONS: ways to fix these as well Date mag is too strong: Your going to have to remove the bezel assembly and when you have the gasket you will have to trim it down to factory level which you will need a factory sub gasket for reference or "rinse and repeat" method which I would not advise. My personal BP got treated with a gen crystal but honestly does not need it. I just so happened to have one sitting around for the longest time. Pearl is not secure: You will need to do 1 of 2 things here. Remove the pearl by prying it out and securely gluing it down with epoxy or super-glue which ever you like to work with the most. The other way to do it is while your sanding down your gasket you can remove the insert from the bezel fairly easy and glue it from behind. The reason this would be better is you won't have to worry about excess glue coming up from behind the pearl which no one wants to see all day! Bracelet has issues: Not much you can do here as I have not really tackled the bracelet full on. I've noticed that the glide lock clasp seems to be sloppy and loose. if you have good advice on situating the bracelet please feel free to tell us all! DW will easily bind up: Mymanmatt will be the master of this subject. I am sure he will chime in and explain his observations as we both spent the whole day with this watch organizing ideas and learning how everything comes together. What I was told is that they did indeed improve on the datewheel mechanism but not 100% there yet. CASE BACK SUCKS: It fits the rolex tool very poorly and will slip if you are not careful. It also seems like its not a perfect fit to the case either but this may vary from watch to watch. Hope you guys enjoyed my mini-review I don't usually make up reviews but hey why not try! and again I would like to publicly thank mymanmatt for all of his work and knowledge he shared with me today and his work is very top notch if you ever need something done he can do it! (CONUS too ) ON TO THE PICS!

No the most recent submariner has a flat blue dial not a metallic finish or sunburst like a 16613 but flat like the 116613 -

This is a funny story - I guess spotting a fake isn't that easy
irolexu replied to txcollector's topic in The Rolex Area
Wow what a terrible jeweler if he can't spot the real ones!!! One thing to be fooled by a good fake but completely different if you can't spot a gen! -
Tips on presenting a gen Rolex as gift without box....

Rolex will not issue any sort of papers for any watch. Once you lose your original documents your out -

116613 dial is wrong. It looks like a 16613 dial with fat markers. The original rolex dial is more of a flat baby blue -
This is probably too soon but I'd figure I'd ask anyways. Does anyone know the construction layout of the new BP ceramic sub? I have one incoming and decided it could use a gen xstal, crown and tube if it allows me so. I think we are hopefully seeing the era of a more 1:1 approach with the new subCs.
