let me know bud I have a lot more inserts then I have listed I also have a bag full of "trashed" inserts with fading, patina, construction damages, you name it! I kind of want to build me a really grungy 16800 project watch with bashed up parts
Heres a project watch thats listed on ebay at a decent price. what do you guys think? someone trying to be a watch modder

You should probably get a mod involved to prevent this kind of thing happening because this does happen often and I think we as a group of enthusiasts and such should do something about it if we spot it.
If any one is interested in making a superfranken and saving money doing it they need to holler at me cause I know how to cut corners and utilize my resources very efficiently
I could have bought an early 2000s but heres my issue with that. 1st it would not have been as fun as collecting the parts and building it. 2 it would have been a holes case which I did not want. I did manage to keep this within a reasonable budget. I bought a gen datejust for 2000.00 dollars then I dropped the movement and sold the DJ parts for 1000.00 so I am only 1000 for the movement. but heres an overview of the price
Case,crown, and tube: 420.00
movement: 1000.00
dial: 400.00
hands: 150.00
xstal: 250.00
bezel: 300.00
gen retaining ring: 22.00
NOS insert: 150.00
TC bracelet: 30.00
TOTAL: $2722.00 for a practically brand new mostly gen watch...not bad if I say so myself! and I sold my TW best to recoupe some money so its more like I spent 2000.00 now who can argue with that
Parts:
Gen 3135 serviced
Gen 16610 luminova dial
Gen crystal with LEC
Gen hands
Gen crown and tube
Gen retaining ring
Gen bezel (small ding at 30 )
Gen insert
SEAN'S 16610 case
TC V3 bracelet with 2MM spring bars
Oh and gen smile I get when I check the time
Ya I would not mess with a new member selling at half the cost...what would you expect to come out of this. He can walk into almost any jewelry store as they will give him more then that cash...
The reason for this is because it's more common and reliable to use the incorrect hand stack on the 2836-2. The correct handstack movement has proven not to be as reliable.
