Im trying to decide which to go for, for a ceramic blue dial SS in 42mm or 43.5mm (JHF seems to only do 42mm and 45mm, OMF seems like they may do the 43.5mm which is the gen size; but maybe its misinformation?). Ive tried the Omega section already; but it seems like nobody has bought either of these two models in any size as i cant get any replies.

It seems this model is made by both OMF and JHF in both 42mm and 45mm; i think it would be nice if they did the 43.5mm size for people in between and thats what i would go with if it were available but i dont think it is unless you want the GMT version. The JHF seems to be a nicer looking darker color; but im wondering if anybody has this model and which is the overall better watch and which is truer to the gen. Looks like a typical Omega Speedmaster to me; unless im missing something.

I so wish they would replicate the bracelet for the Avenger II watches as some of these reps look amazing; i just dont like Rubber straps and whatnot.

Just a quick update here. Still havent had any alcohol in a long time; i know i dont need it and it could make things worse for me. Also i might be getting a good job; ive been stuck at barely above minimum wage at a factory that is making things worse for over 4 years. so im hoping i get this new job for a pretty good immediate pay raise (since i make less money than i would hourly if i worked at McDonalds; even though i work 10 hour days in a factory); with the possibility to get raises in the near future. Interview is on Friday; only bad thing is it sounds like it means i will have to say goodbye to a lot of my free time; but i need the money for bills and 2 dental implants; so im up to the challenge. Its another factory job; i know i will have to work hard, but i already do; so the only differences will be different company, more money hourly, and more hours weekly; meaning i could clear possibly double what i do now.

I guess im a glutton for punishment (in whichever form it comes, whether it be because of something i did, or because of somebody else) and i probably do the wrong thing way too often. But every now and then i really try my hardest to do better; well the last two weeks I've decided to put more dedication into losing weight (worked out for more than 1 hour: 12 of the last 14 days) and trying to do better financially. And I've stopped drinking as i figure thats bad for both. And my biggest challenge is gonna be figuring out how i will pay for 1/2 of the cost of 2 permanent dental implants; especially with trying to balance the household bills with my younger brother doing a lot of nothing while he doesnt have a job. The dental implants will be the final part of a long process to fix my messed up smile; which got so much worse from when i was 13 and the dentist at the time said i needed braces and stuff happened so it got so much worse (braces to come off in November after about 27 months if treatment). Anyways, figured i would post an update since i dont post here too often; since im not in the rep business these days and some of you seem to still care (i know ive done a lot to make many people mad enough to think of me as some troll or idiot and not care). Im also planning on selling my 2 watches here in November; since i dont have the upgraded membership required for watch sales here and i have a better chance of being able to use those funds for the 2 dental implants if i sell then instead of now.

Just got my 1st Gen Swiss GMT in the mail today.

Just got it today, didn't even need to take any links out, just used the sliding micro adjust to make it fit a little tighter and it fits perfect.

Wishful thinking but he will go out and buy alcohol if he has money either way; so it doesn't matter if I drink or not (which I haven't been since 3 or 4 weeks ago) The only thing getting me ahead (slowly) is working an extra 10 hours every Friday (since I get my 40 in Monday through Thursday).

Snobbery and value perception is definitely right, Rolex/Omega/other expensive name brand watch = $5000+++ for an automatic movement watch with a Meteorite dial, any lesser known brand usually = less than $1000 and therefore may be considered "junk" to those buying the Rolex/Omega/other high end brands. At the end of the day a Swiss 7750 is a Swiss 7750, and a Meteorite dial is a Meteorite dial, same as how an ounce of Platinum/Gold/Silver is what it is regardless of what name/design is stamped on it. And usually just because a watch costs 5-10x as much doesn't mean you are getting something that much better (usually you aren't because quality can only get so high before you aren't paying for better quality, just the name)

I hate terrorists more than anything else, such petty differences (especially between the 2 different types of Muslims) and such extreme means to "solve" them. Something drastic has to happen to cause the right kind of change and preferably some sort of real solution so the violence and deaths can end.

Reminds me of the last Gen I had with a Swiss 7750 in it that nobody would touch for $300 because apparently the brand name on the dial meant the Swiss 7750 was junk (or so people act like if the brand name starts with I and you guys know which brand I mean)

Not quite sure what you mean, he's closer to an alcoholic than I am, often drinking during the day time and saying he's needs to drink to sleep good. Plus I have missed on average less than 1 day per year (besides the 1 week per year that i take off for a short vacation) at this job I have. And I even used to work almost 70 hours weeks half of every months for a couple years (2 weeks on, 2 weeks off (by which I mean 40 hours))

Well we are all family in this house and try to help out. I just wish he (my younger brother) would have been more responsible. I try to influence him to do better, but you can only do so much (especially since he was often not home and was hanging out with one of his friends too much; instead of being home)

I appreciate all the responses and will stop drinking (at least for a while), just wish I had some extra money right now to catch up on my credit card, my life is not normally super hard. But I don't always have a good perspective on things, and it's gonna be hard for a while to play catch-up on my credit card while bills keep coming in and the household is down $400 a month. This is what happens when everyone is supposed to contribute to the bills and 1 person had to be irresponsible, miss too much work, and get fired (then won't be back to work for a while due to waiting on an appointment to get his tonsils removed). Not trying for sympathy points as this is really my situation and I'm not asking for anything as that would not be right, just thought some of you would like insight into why I am feeling how I am lately.

It's doubtful I'll ever do AA, but I won't be buying any alcohol for a few months while I can barely pay my bills and afford to eat at the moment (I'm not gonna starve or be out on the street, just a huge ($1600, which is huge for me) credit card bill that will take months to pay, with nothing else to sell). I can only hope (and ask the supervisors for) some overtime and with luck I'll be working every Friday for the next month (Saturday too if possible, but unlikely).

I'm not "shining people on", I'm honest and to many people a fool not worth dealing with. People can think of me what they want to, but I'm not a bad person.

I'm good now that the effects of a slight hangover have passed, just slightly stressed due to money problems, if I had spare watches I would sell 1 or 2, but I'm down to a beater that I'm not planning on selling. I will catch up, it's just not easy off of 40 hour weeks.

I have hobbies, that's part of my troubles a few weeks ago with eBay, PayPal, and trying to get a refund when some jackass sent me a CNET Magazine instead of a ps4 pro.

Yeah I know it's a fleeting feeling of happiness, but a little false happiness is sometimes better than cruel reality.

I slept for a while, but I'm good, no headache or hangover from last night.
