Hello, I have a very simillar 6265 from phong but I got the movement from him not ndt. His v727 was 3500$ so there is obviously something wrong if you paid 2200$ where are you located?
-
I asked you all if I should drop 1000$ on a minh dial and you all said not to I'm assuming because of the price. But after searching high and low there really was nothing comparable except for maybe the ndt dials which are sold out and could have been just as much $.. so in conclusion, I'm an idiot but a pretty happy idiot Id have to say, its really nice with a loop and looks way better than any others. Subdial spacing and print quality especially. Here's a pic of it and a pic of the phong dial I could have had for 600$ that I thought wasn't nice enough.. by the way I still haven't received phongs replacement dial.. my watchmaker has the watch and ill post pics of it mounted later on when I get it back.

I wish I had a spare parts box comparable to yours, very very nice. I think that's the way to go, create something matching your exact tastes for your own enjoyment. Good stuff.
-
Or you could have bought it in the 70's instead of that dj
-
They don't go by size.. a tropic 39 is smaller in diameter than a tropic 21.. the t-22 is right for that model.
-
You could have bought it years ago when the prices were more reasonable, depending on your age, and are now wearing it to prove just how savy you were back then... Or, you could have received it from someone like your dad or something like that. Just saying,, you didn't necessarily buy it 3 days ago at today's market value.

And gtrider, I don't think any other rubber strap will look good because the part where it conneccts to the watch is curved on a rubberb to match the curve of the case.. the ones you showed on eBay dont. It's a much nicer cleaner gen look to have rubberb I'm telling you.

Hello, I finally got a response and pics from Minh for a pn 6265 dial to have as an option for my phong 6265. Phongs dials are ok but they are 5-600$ so you would expect perfection. Minh wants 1000$ for his. I was going to buy the phong one whenever his would be ready, but now I'm seriously considering this one. The top are minh's and last one is phong's. Worth the astronomical price?

Dont know, I never had the mbk version but I think that was based on an earlier model, 15202 or15200 something like that.. this one is a diff model
-
If you buy a case its going to cost you some money, and then you are left with a case that nobody wants. If you buy the new proper one and then sell the other like I said earlier you won't be losing nearly as much.
-
I would actually just order the proper one from josh and sell the one you ordered at a bit of a loss, trust me its the cheapest way to go.
-
I don't think the st-19 will even fit into a dw case. You need to contact josh at pc and ask him if he can send you just a case set - the movement hands and dial, and hope that the crown you have will be compatable with his tube. The dealers can get these things not dw, his stuff is a7750 based and sometimes v72. Hope that helps a bit.
-
I might want that

I wasn't talking about the condition I was talking about the cases being sharper than Rolex ever made them. The goal is to make it look as soft as when he could have bought it new. Not like it came from China
-
Looks good, I can't really tell how defined the edges are but you can tell in person. A little softening goes a long way, phongs compared to my dw version is night and day.
-
Look, first two gen last two mine. The rep cases all come a bit too sharp the edges are too pronounced..
-
They never came out of the factory with sharp edges so if your case is a bit to sharp then soften it, phong did it for mine. The watch looks perfect but he worked it to look like it came from rolex. Pics would help.

Phongs stuff is usually case, case back bezel insert dial and hands repped, and the crown tube stem crystal gen. In this case I showed you that link to give you a way of having a nice watch that you can resell without taking a loss like others have said. It doesn't make sense to dive into a project and blow $ if there's a nice example of a real one for that price. You will like it 10 times more because its gen. I love my reps but if I could afford to spend just double to get the real one I would 10 times out of 10.

First Build a 6538 could use some opinions & sugestions

Is it the curve of the crystal that makes it look wocky.?? Wow if that's the case and it is like that don't spend that kind of money on it, not worth it.
