great looker.... funny tho, i got a 5 years old mbw 16613 Two Tone with lug-holes and open six-nine. The dial on mine is less less correct then thisone, however the off-center 'swiss made' is still there
Hi nice project, i got the same going, only went different direction....
Yours looks like some transitional model... If i was to nit-pick i would say you should press the bezel some more, looks like some space between the bezel and case...
Great work!
Actually it is paul who ads every posible gold(plate) description to his listnings.
But it is the solid 18k sold by EL. Pricing was 1200 for 2824 upto 1600 for the 2892.
To compare, this is one from EL
Fitting a gen crystal can be done (maybe on some models perhaps, i don't know) but i cant find the topic, but recently a member did let a watchaker put a gen crystal on a rolex gmt rep.
The guy could be telling the truth, however the only thing that bothers me is where the tube-hole is located on his so-called 1:1 (klik for image)
All his other pics of complete subs (Z-model) show a crown sitting too low.
ah well, seems business is good since exposure from RWG
Time to fezz up, who placed an order?
another thing you need to consider, especially when you want to tranfser parts/use gen parts, or want to nitpick correctness, is the location of the date window. Some GMT's have the date + cyclops placed too far to the right. You will need another date overlay if you want to use a genuine dial for instance...
