  1. The open 6, the lugholes....
  2. What about the pics of the collector you got it from, is it gronographite on the pics also, or is it spelled correctly?
  3. I like it too.. its a fun piece
  4. I like it, pimp away my friend
  5. I didnt know Josh sells TW best, let alone charges a grand for it... you sure it was perfectclones (joshua)?
  6. Follow this link to a great writeup on the different models availleble, and where to get it... click
  7. Iam sorry but the 108usd watch ur showing is a totally different watch paul is carying. take a look at the back engraving for dog sake ... the 108s for that pos is way overprices it shoudl be no more then 25 usd, which i would not spend on it. paul's movement is the seagull 2982 copy movement, which is a good movement, but not ETA.
  8. Or build a franken, speedmaster snoopy dial for 300usd for cal. 1861 klik for dial
  9. Here you go: http://www.pam111.com/product_info.php?cPa...products_id=538 ps Do look into pauls way off running business before placing an order with him. pps Its is a copy movement not swiss ETA.
  10. Paul has these, dont know this particular dial, but he has them. the price on ioffer is ridiculous, ive paid 160usd back in 2005. Apart from the screws in the band (if one could call it screws) it's a fantastic watch.. 8mm thick.
  11. I'll add to that, the holes also must be correctly placed (exactly like on the vintage MBW 1680/1665 etc etc) else gen end-links won't fit right.
  12. Me too votes for this case with lug-holes (and no rehaut engraving).
  13. 9 out of 10 times, the term 'goldwrap' is used for gold plate, which is incorrect, an example of wrapped gold: Apart from the durability, the wrapped gold also has problems, gold quality very low and mixed with materials which can oxidize(?). the folowing pic shows what eurotimez also showed us, when scratched, the scratch turns black: I dont think this method is possible on complex shapes like a watchcase. Most likely its some sort of gold plating. I still have to find a dealer who can explain to me what exactly is the difference between 'thick gold plate' and 'tripple wrapped'.
  14. Seems like a gen, the crown is sharper vs the rep, back engraving is totally different, i'd post pics of the rep but the board doesnt take dynamic url anymore... hi res pics of the rep located here.
  15. TT is right, i've got the gold FM back in 2006 for the same price as it is currently listed 1600usd, while the goldprice has increased quite a bit since 2006... i think its a bargain.
  16. Nice piece... love the dial/bezel combo! a classic keeper.
  17. Indeed, I'd love to see this being cleard up, as a recent topic about a similar issue (Some 3717's made of cheap aluminum?) did not resolve in a definate answer to whats going on. I feel another 'white lie' topic comming up.
  18. Great review, Big up to you mate... Rusting stainless steel makes one wonder though
  19. Good looking GMT, what movement is in this watch?
  20. mmm, strange, the 8000 dollar power reserve tourbillon is the same as homer is selling for 500usd. Homers: 600usd, the SS version was 500. the 5day tourby is a whole different story, all other watches are powered by chinese tourby's
  21. Brilliant, i need one of those
  22. Could be it depends on the insert. Jake48 used glue for his TT WM9 sub. Anyhow thanks for clarifying this Watcher.
  23. Well if the majority off swiss whorology is applying AR, rolex cannot stay behind really... but i don't see them doing it any time soon
