  1. Woah Big A, nice family you got there. I concur with you, one main "weakness" of the rep diver is the crystal and cyclops clarity. Another more subtle tell is the low-beat movement "tick" on the gen vs the high beat sweep on the rep. But really, the divers are as close as AP ROO reps go. The ceramic one has just been released, you might wish to consider adding that to the family. Wear all of them well mate!
  2. Very nice, except that on this piece, the AP logo on the dial does not seem to the updated one on the latest batch for this model. The updated logo is slightly more compact and more accurate to gen. I prefer this model over the 2014 safari.. good taste.
  3. I love the cream dial. I ordered the gen of this watch, waiting for it to arrive. From what I see, this looks very close to the gen from the pics, besides the usual minor flaws. I like the updated AP logo as well.
  4. If you find him do let me know bro. Been some time since I did my bombing run. Sent from Mars using tapatalk
  5. Lovely Hublot and good taste. Sent from Mars using tapatalk
  6. bro, the diver is an FC diver. Which means there's yellow too.
  7. Highly doubtful that this is gen, the buckle shape looks funny. anyway, go for the bee if you could only get one AP, and you do not need to wear it swimming or for any rugged usage. It is a very well made rep, and one of the winners produced by the JF factory. I own one myself, and I would have to say that I am happy with it. A very well replicated watch, and yes worth the price tag.
  8. Honestly in real life, the difference in the point where the gen and reps "start" fading to black would be hard to distinguish as a tell unless you compare the 2 side by side. Also, lighting would play a notable part in the appearance of the dial, as well as the angle from which you happen to glance at it. The "Deepsea" wording on the dial is however a lighter tone than the one in the gen. I would not worry about these differences, as they are rather unobstrusive in the rep. It is a nice first attempt, and a very wearable rep IMHO.
  9. the RG/red dial RB is known as the RB3.. it has been out of stock for quite some time now. A pity actually, I find it to be a rather beautiful looking combination.
  10. you are the only guy who makes a science out of the concept of waiting for our QC pics and deliveries
  11. Have you made up your mind? In your original post, you implied that you are looking for any model of the ROO RB EXCEPT the rose gold/red one. Then why should it matter if it was out of stock?
  12. you are unlikely to get help this way, newbie.
  13. if you send it to the modder and request for waterproofing, he will know what to do.
  14. The watch is a Hublot Big Bang, v6.5, with stainless steel case and ceramic bezel. The strap is a metallic croc leather, in titanium grey with sheen from my good friend and renowned strapmaker Donerix 2.0 The result is a very sporty and eye catching, and yet elegant fusion of tones of grey, silver and black. see the metallic tone of the strap in the sun The fusion with the case and dial
  15. Don't count on it..sometimes they could be, and sometimes not.
  16. tell him you'll give him a discount to take the piece of trash off him. The way these folks take buyers as idiots.. they need to be taught a lesson.
  17. Request a close up of the "20, 30, and 50" on the inner bezel please The screw at 1 o'clock looks very bad, with uneven screw slot width across the length.
  18. Why're you typing in CAPS? Sent from Mars using tapatalk
  19. Another thing, I would not consider it to be a v2. It is a v1 release by another factory. It would be more accurate to consider it a J12 ROO panda V1.
  20. PROs vs the Noob 42mm - better straps and no holes deployant clasp - better looking hand stack, closer to gen - better movement reliability (not verified but heavily rumored) - Sharper looking dial overall CONs vs the Noob 42mm - date font is ugly vs the Noob model - no silver lining around the numerical markers Issues in both J12 and Noob - The numerial markers and lumed area of the hands in the gen are actually a deep grey, not jet black - of course, the usual ROO flaws like date window position, crown/pusher alignment etc.
  21. Well said. The man who has it made does not need to show it in his car, clothes or watch. I tend to respect poise, dignity and substance as opposed to pomp and bling.
  22. No worries Mark. Its a subtle replication flaw that not many notice though. Without comparison with a gen side by side, you would not be able to spot the flaw.
  23. Under the right conditions and lighting, it could appear nice to look at. But to quote a movie line "what happens in Vegas should stay in Vegas".
