Happy New Year Narikaa! Thanks again for sourcing me that MBK Aquanaut eh... I'm nuts for that watch, it's the crown jewel of my collection. You're a swell guy and I wish you nothing but the absolute best in '09!!!!
  2. Hublot is the Los Del Rio of the horological community... but my question is... how long can you hear the Macarena before it becomes annoying?
  3. HikeUSA... you've always been a great guy (Not just because you have "USA" in your name, that too) and I think this post proves why!! Hmmm... I guess really it's a given the Chopard failed the test... for my second guess I'm going to say the Josh AP ROO.... but honestly it's a shot in the dark
  4. Hello and happy new year. Somebody brought this to my attention in another thread, but I think this news is so big that it deserves a thread of its own. A short while ago on his website Perfect Clones, Joshua listed two all-black "Pro Hunter" Rolex Daytona wristwatches. The watches themselves are nothing special but what's inside could be the saving grace Daytona fans have been looking for. Just check out these specifications: Model : PVD Black SS Case and Red Inked Bezel, Black Dial, Silver Subdials, Stick Markers on PVD Black SS Oyster Bracelet, Movement: Asia 7750 Valjoux Working Chronograph movement Updated Decorated Insignia Rotor, 28800 bph, New Improved 29J Version Functions: Hours, Minutes, Seconds : Running Secs at 6.00 subdials, Chronograph : 3.00 subdial - minute counter, 9.00 subdials, hour counter 2.00 pusher - start/stop chrono, 4.00 pusher - reset Dimensions : Dia 40mm x 13.5mm Thk Material : 1 piece forged case construction, solid 316 stainless steel, Thick Black PVD Coating Back : Close case back with Pro Hunter Serial Engraving Crown : One-piece Screw down crown with o ring Crystal: - Sapphire Crystal Water-resistant 29 jewel movement? Updated? Click here to go to the product page. Obviously my questions are; 1. Has anyone heard any information regarding the reliability of this movement? While only time will tell, it would be nice to have an expert chime in on the changes which the manufacturers may have introduced. 2. How long before we see this movement in standard SS or TT models? Best wishes Corgi
  5. I love you too, buddy!!! Keep on truckin'!!
  6. Welcome and PS that Daytona is absolutely "to die for" !!
  7. Welcome! My friend you are personified!!
  8. Take the advice of my colleagues and do "not" wind your Hublot Big Bang.
  9. Interesting post! I've never seen this watch before but I think if you want such a unique piece sourced then your only hope is Narikaa. He may not be able to get that piece exactly, but likely something similar. Also do note that it is missing the famous Breguet secret signature and the whole date region is quite suspect looking; two big tells that it's a rep. Also, the gen is 35.5mm and if what I"m seeing is a ETA 2836 (or variant thereof) you're looking at ~38mm+ which is likely to look a little curious if someone is familiar with the gen collection.
  10. The gold does fade but only on the inside of the bracelet and usually it's not that much. I wore the watch below many times (it was my first rep) and I personally think it was a tremendous piece, the yellow gold just shined on this guy...
  11. Nice pearl on this one... almost MBW quality
  12. This particular UN doesn't really speak to me. Now the 1846, that will be a different story... Personally I'm still waiting patiently for the long overdue Fifty Fathoms. Come on, let's get this one made already!!
  13. Thanks for the New Year wishes, Robbie - I have two resolutions myself: 1. Live healthier 2. Control my spending habits (cough cough... easy on the rep-related purchases!) Happy New Year everyone.
  14. My city's public transportation network (all trains and busses) are on strike so no party for us. It's also best to stay indoors, the TV says drunk driving is going to be at a record high.
  15. I have to agree; don't get discouraged because your rep has a flaw. Every rep has a flaw - some bigger some smaller. If you want "perfection" go to the store and buy gen. But I doubt you'll have as much fun doing it as we do!
  16. I can just see Hublot customer support going "why did our inbox get flooded with requests for screwdrivers all of a sudden?".
  17. At least nobody was killed. On the news we have stories of criminals who kill people over less than $500 worth of cash register money.
  18. What to wear.... graham or tourbillon??? Nice.
  19. I think it's good to split them up. One can have an "ultimate rep" and an "ultimate gen" to satisfy their need. I think they are two different entities after all...
  20. Still this guy...
  21. If you're in GZ, concentrate not on watches but rather other replica items we have a hard time getting here. Mont Blanc pens, high end fashion accessories, clothing, jewelery...
  22. Post a picture of your collection and they'll have a field day...
  23. In Canada everybody is somehow ill (even me; its very lucrative, we have socialized healthcare, our government pays for sick leave and there are lots of benefits). In fact I have a friend who has been off work on disability because he has some kind of "stress induced anxiety" which basically means he gets stressed when there is lots of work to do and deadlines to meet... ah the public service... Anyway, back to the point, if i were a Canadian physician I would say you are experiencing a hybrid of thanato-mono-phobia. Then I would write you a prescription for god knows what because hey... the taxpayer will cover it!!!
  24. over 700 sales, member since '99, 100% positive feedback... I'd say the dealer seems squeaky clean...
  25. Let me just say that just because a movement is "swiss eta" doesn't necessarily mean it is more reliable than its generic Asian counterpart. In the replica world there is no QC to speak of, and thus it is impossible to gauge which rep is the most accurate. Johnny can have a Big Bang run for ten years without fault while Billy's same BB might die in less than ten days. You have to just rub a magic lamp and hope for the best with these guys. Now, in terms of gens, then we can start a heated debate!
