If you want a watch with the convenience of quartz but without the give-away tick, why not just get a model without a seconds hand on it? I know it's irrelevant to the original question but regardless, I think it's the only solution right now.

Personally, I'm a little frightened now Greg! Are you a fire-breather or what? Since I live in a tiny village, most people don't even know there are watches outside of those available directly to the left of the cashier at WALL*MART. So when somebody does notice, I always send them a big smile and a "thanks, that's very kind of you sir/ma'am/miss!" (About the last one: I wish..)

Lanikai, I apologize that my comment has derailed the thread so. I didn't mean to write a personal attack against anyone. I think the 'girls girls' thread is precisely there to serve the purpose of housing whatever female-oriented images aficionados of such content prefer. Chino, I find your accusation to be extremely inappropriate and I won't even reply to it, because it's such an outrageous thing to say to someone, that I don't think you meant to write that at all. I've often heard the term "watch porn" used here... what could be better than that? We have some immensely talented photographers here on the forum and I would be content if the photos were of watches exclusively.

Following this, I'd like to see an "evolution of the sub rep." We all know the plain submariner is one of the most popular timepieces. So why not examine its past? Start with photos of poor reps, and then move onto the highest quality available now - MBK, noob, nympho, etc... eventually reaching a picture of the gen!

If you treat your watch with care, operate it with gentleness, and do not expose it to harsh elements like water, then I don't see why it wouldn't do 5+ years.... I have many old ASIAN powered reps now hitting the 2 year mark, and these are the "notorious" 7750 chrono, I use the stopwatch frequently mind you...

How about you just google "naked girls" and have fun while us grown-ups put together something for the entire community to enjoy. This calendar will be something I want to hang in the living room and so help me if there are girls in it...

Exactly... great idea. But do it with RWG (or just general rep) history as well. Example: The Zigmeister's first post, first ban, first HBB photo released, etc...

I think it's important to mention that browsing scam sites, even just for fun or to have a laugh, can be dangerous... I hear some of them have viruses and trojans. Given that, yes, these people will concoct ridiculous lies and I can betcha more than a few people fall for them.

At least they are communicating with him and (hopefully) sending him a watch. There are worse scammers out there who simply "take the money and run".

Are these going to be physical paper/card calendars or printable computer files like pdf or jpeg? Essentially you need 12 pictures correct?

I think everyone agrees its the lume that makes it a great watch.

My answer to this question would be "yes, but it will likely be very over priced."
