This starts the weekend.

When I have a day off and I'm at home, I often wear and rotate different watches during the day, and don't even bother to set the time. Sometimes I have to ask my fiancee what the correct time is. Geeky, eh?

I'd be very surprised if JewelersOnTime sold a fake Submariner. The are a very, very respectable Ebay seller. Questionable parts... maybe. But the watch looks genuine to me.

Not many things are nicer... but 1675 on a OYSTER BAND comes to mind. Great watch my friend... one day I will own a 1675 too.

The Day-Date I just recently reviewed goes way beyond $15K. The gen is platinum and the rep is just SS of course... so the watch being accurate is a bit "so and so".

Genuine. A bit rare model though.

For me the 42mm PO would be much better choice than 45... deciding between that one and SMP would be a very tough call. But then I would probably choose the SMP anyway... and get the PO later.

Good question. I have a feeling that this particular watch might have been compromised with water at some point. Dial definitely looks much older than it is. Not normal aging for a watch that "new" (imho). Another trivia fact: The "fat lady" only came with the "Coke" red/black insert from the factory. AD's changed them by customer request of course.

Only obvious to you, because you're a hardcore RIS = REP IDIOT SAVANT. I tried sourcing the inserts from Silix but it took about 7 days to reply each email, and he quoted some insane prices. And as you said, there's never any guarantee what our Chinese friends actually send us. So I much rather buy one from a fellow member.

Well done. The pearl looks better on this new version. I wish I could find a decent one somewhere (for my SMP). If someone has a spare SMP chrono insert here's a buyer.

Woody, the 24h hand is ALWAYS automatically in sync with the hour hand on the real working GMT watches. You don't have to adjust... or CAN'T adjust the 24h hand on genuine Rolex (or the CHS) independently. This is purely a "Chinese invention" on the WHS. You can, however, set the GMT hand from the hack position, which moves hour, minute and GMT hands. So it's not necessary to adjust the hour and GMT hand at all... and still use the GMT function from the 24h bezel. On the 1675 and 16750 nothing was independently adjustable. On those watches you always use the GMT function by rotating the 24h bezel. This is the best option for the fragile CHS. I'm often amazed how few people actually know how the GMT watches operate... even some gen owners. PS: I love the WHS bastardization. It's a fully working, cheap and reliable invention, as long as you know how to set it up correctly. Check this small tutorial I wrote.

People seem to forget that there are 3 different versions of this watch... or 3 different movements. I wonder how many problems there have been for people who have bought the watch with genuine ETA 2836-2 WRONG HAND STACK movement. The Asian WHS seems to be a bad movement, not to mention the CHS ETA... but the plain' good old WHS ETA. Never had a SINGLE problem with this movement, despite owning many GMT watches with it... during the years.

You can still pm me as a fellow member of course. Yeah I agree... this kind of stuff is really frustrating. That's a good thing about Precious Time and Eurotimez... stuff like this has never happened to me. The ceramic GMT is really worth the wait though, great rep indeed.

@Woody: We admins & moderators aren't "trade police". You don't have to pm me anything. Believe me, we don't have resources and time to deal with all members' trade problems with the dealers/other members. And there's nothing we can do anyway... we can only unapprove/approve dealers based on their feedback and reputation. That means we only look at the "big picture", not single bad trades. I was just curious as a fellow member, not as a staff member. If the dealer sorts it out, no need to cause any controversy. If not, the dealer feedback sections are for that. Anyway... good luck man!

I have done a lot of research about the GMT lately. Finding a 100% original 1675 is not easy... and definitely not below $5K. If the watch is 100% original and has full paperwork, today's prices are at least in the $7K range... if not above that. I'm still kicking myself for not buying a 1675 three years ago, when the prices were still very low. Nanuq's timing was perfect. Not sure about 16750, but I believe they're in the same price range. Depending on the condition and accessories. Yeah, I completely agree... that Ferrari/Hyundai comparison was silly. Rolex movements aren't considerably better than ETA's, and Tudor has a Rolex case. These Snowflakes are becoming highly collectible. But yeah, I would still get the GMT before the prices become utterly ridiculous (and all indicators are saying they will).

It's up to you of course. That's what the dealer feedback sections are for, ultimately: Giving other members honest feedback about the dealers. What happened to the first wrong watch? Did you ship it back at your own expense... and how did the dealer respond now, when you received your SECOND wrong watch? Sending someone a wrong watch once is understandable, but TWO TIMES is just nuts. If the dealer is reasonable, he should ship the third watch immediately to you... and on top of that he should let you keep the wrong one you received.

Yeah, I vaguely remember those times. Hannu Mikkola and Quattro was a deadly combination in rally. I found a picture of the original "Sport" Quattro, which was the shorter super version. If the original quattro is rare, this is ultra rare. It had a monster performance back then... and even compared to today's super cars.
