  1. Sorry man... but you could waste your money on some crappy rep as well. Aquaracer is indeed quite amazing. Enjoy.
  2. You have to turn the crown anti-clockwise in the date-set position to set the day. PS: Never adjust the day or date between 10pm and 2am.
  3. Brilliant work. Actually I wasn't aware there was such a rep model available. I'll link this to the Omega Guide... so if you post more pictures and update the review, please edit this initial post of yours. Thanks again... and enjoy your new watch. It's technically the same rep as the "reduced" one that I once reviewed... very nice.
  4. TTK and Narikaa used to sell these. Narikaa finds these reps during his travels, so you could request him to source one for you... next time when he goes to Asia. He used to have a lot of these... probably all sold out. Andrew has plenty of ladies' TAGs in his site, but most of them are diamond/mop/two-tone versions. And he doesn't have ladies' Link at all.
  5. Very nice collection of Rollies. Looks like you need a Explorer II and GMT Master next... so you can get Rolex properly covered.
  6. Just a small update: Me and Doc both received a watch that (probably) had a daywheel gear issue. Our watches had low power reserve (about 12-18 hours FULLY wound). I noticed that the PR was always dying during the day change, which happens between 12-2am. Otherwise my watch was keeping excellent time and functioning normally. This might be characteristic problem for SOME Aquaracer day-date chronos, or just a bad coincidence. PT said that he hasn't heard of any problems (besides mine) though. I thought this info would be important to know (both dealers and members). Our watches came from different dealers. Don't know how Doc's dealer will take care of the issue, but Precious Time will replace mine (being a top-class dealer that he is). Actually my replacement is probably here by Monday.
  7. Much appreciated that you posted this brilliant review here as well. I've read it before, but it was nice to read it again. Thanks again for your work and effort.
  8. I've seen your collection before... but it's always nice to revisit it. Impressive.
  9. Nice try Tom... but I will never, ever trade the Aquaracer. It could be the best looking sports chronograph EVER. You have to buy it man!
  10. Hey Tom... funny story. I feel pretty much the same way. I always keep telling myself to stop... but I always have some package in transit somewhere. It's crazy. To my defense I have to say that I've traded a LOT of watches away (watches that never got any wrist time). But now I'm in a crazy situation... I simply CAN'T sell any of them. And I need still a few more.
  11. Mika got married and became slow and retired. Well... driving in the DTM series means "retired". At least to a double F1 world champion. I'm sure Schumi will join him eventually. @Pugs: It ain't over until it's over. And about winning Scandinavians... Kimi has already won three races this year.
  12. Spoken like a true Brit! Go Kimi... FORZA FERRARI! (couldn't resist. I'm getting sick of the Hamilton hype).
  13. Hey, that's almost as intelligent as the old "You can't tune a piano but you can tuna fish". Maybe these brilliant aphorisms come from the same source?
  14. Nice pics and great watches man. You really have an original taste, and I like that! Welcome to the forum!
  15. Wearing the good ole' Bond Seamaster today.
  16. Genuine, most likely. This is an old model SMP, the "pre Bond" version.
  17. @max: Are you enjoying your ETA Nooby? I loved that watch... but I don't really need a Sub (that's what I keep telling myself). Nooby has the small rehaut shortage, but it's still the best Sub out there (imho). The dial is just amazing. PS: That particular ETA model with good date font seems to be quite difficult to get now (for whatever reason).
  18. Rocky IV is great. Camp humor at its finest.
  19. Thanks Vic. Nice Link! Keep 'em coming folks...
  20. Congrats man. The end result is what matters, and it turned out well. Great watch. I absolutely love my SMP chrono as well. Maybe one day my watch will have a Swiss transplant too.
  21. I have completely missed this thread (for whatever reason). Sorry man. I hope you had a great time Gio.
  22. @plai: You were a few minutes too late. Stephane already started it... but no worries, I merged the threads. Carry on.
  23. Wow... must be the earliest SOTW wrist check. But it's Monday 1:09 here too so why not... I've been wearing my magnificent SuperOcean today. What a brilliant watch this is...
  24. sd4000's reviews are among the best I've ever read. This is definitely a classic one.
