  1. Yes. Yes, but I doubt anyone would notice. Yes, I guess. Although the chrono version doesn't have AR. I'm not 100% sure if the standard Bond does, either. This applies only to the current rep models. Ditto. Old ones had excellent dials. Nope. Only the newest gens that have red Seamaster writing use the co-axial movement. Show me a rep with perfect pearl and I'll show you a three-legged woman. Who cares? This was a "super rep" 2 years ago. Not perfect, but it's still the best. Try sourcing one of these through a member trade.
  2. Stop it Ken. Your legs are making me horny. This is for you all:
  3. Now that's the Ultimate GAY!
  4. I'm starting the weekend with my beautiful TAG.
  5. Great writeup & pics Euno! Thanks mate, very interesting read. I think Pugwash purchased one of these. If that lazy bastard ever releases the IWC Guide (that he promised about a year ago) this should definitely get linked there.
  6. Fantastic collection. No, brilliant. Thanks for showing it for us mortals.
  7. Check your PM. Sorry that I didn't reply you earlier...been busy.
  8. Maybe we BOTH misunderstood eachother. I wrote this a few days ago: Hey... the project watch in the pictures isn't a Noobmariner. But the watch that is LINKED from the project page is. http://www.watchmaker9.tv/products/rolex_0...iner_16610T.htm I browsed the page sloppily and thought that he was showing the final product there (a Noobmariner), but apparently the project watch is going to look different. But remember the old saying... pictures prove absolutely nothing. Either way, selling a $200 watch for $550 is a bit gross... which was my original point. That doesn't make him a scammer though.
  9. @Jake: Don't try to misrepresent my words. I already cleared up the confusion many posts ago. Scroll back this thread and see for yourself. I'm well aware that the project watch in the pictures isn't a Noobmariner, but the one that he previously sold for $550 is. It's true that it IS a good rep, arguably the "best Sub"... but that's an obnoxious price and we all know it. I don't think it's an attack against "George's character" to be skeptical about the whole thing. I don't quite get it why you feel so heavily about this. Those "perfect" Subs that were sold by other dealers got very bad reviews from the community as well. Those were crap reps (visually) and we called them out. I'm also VERY skeptical about all "water proofness" and QC claims from ALL dealers, not just George. That's my "duty" as a veteran member to keep the information in this forum unbiased and reliable. BUT... if this one turns out to be great we have no reason to put the product down. I simply look at the product and the facts... not how I feel about the seller. I don't care whether George is an [censored] or not... if he can provide us a great rep it's definitely welcome here. Members can then decide themselves if it's worth the price he's asking for. The end result is more competition... and better reps for the members. How could we have anything against that?
  10. Yeah, but I know... at least the watch in his pictures is. I've owned 2 of them, and I have eyes in my head.
  11. Yeah. That was my original point: I'm sure the SMP Chrono, TAG Link Chrono and 45mm PO are just as "super" as the new "Super reps" that cost significantly more. I doubt the production costs of those new reps are that much higher, either. I could be wrong though. I'm willing to pay extra for stuff like the AR and extra visual accuracy... but NOT for the bogus QC claims, ridiculous 600m "guaranteed" water resistance claims, etc. Steelfish is awesome rep without a doubt... but my bracelet screws had to be screwed in and glued properly before the watch was even usable. "Great" QC... good luck to your first deepsea dive. $250 to $300 is a LOT of money for a knockoff counterfeit watch... no matter how well they're done. $500 to $700 is just insane. $250 to $300 is as "super" as I'm willing to go. I'm not saying these aren't visually awesome and relatively well made, but they're reps... and should always be treated like reps. I have no problem of doing the standard procedures, like having my own QC checks, waterproofing and polishing (when I receive the watch), but the factories and certain dealers shouldn't claim things that aren't true. Or most importantly, members shouldn't pay those huge prices. Honestly, is the new Cousteau SO much better than say, the new and improved Breitling Navitimers that got released year ago?
  12. Thanks people. Here's very nice TAG Link advertisement video. Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrKamViL0Kk
  13. I love that IWC Stephane! Awesome watch!
  14. Yep. I really like AP's as well. Too bad the gens are so expensive. So wearing a rep like that would be a bit too much for an average guy like me. About the Steelfish... yes, it's a big watch. I've always said that these bulky watches don't go well with smaller wrists. Some don't mind though. You could try it with a rubber strap... it could balance the size nicely.
  15. Thanks guys. Many people don't know this, but the Bond Chronograph is also available in titanium.
  16. Lol Chief. Seriously, everyone's always talking about the blue version when they think about the TT Sub. Personally, I think the black one is much better looking watch.
  17. Beauties Ubi. Didn't you get the SuperOcean too? How do you like it so far?
  18. Great Wednesday guys! I'm starting the day with my great SuperOcean.
  19. Let's bump this nice thread. Photobucket allows you to make silly slideshows. I created one. Yeah, it was a boring morning. See it HERE. Maybe someone could have use of this kind of feature? I haven't figured out how to "hotlink" it in the forum though. The IMG code doesn't work here.
  20. @Jumbie: I think the watch has always been around $250. All photographers try to avoid reflections and get the lighting optimal. But this watch has "electric effect" on the dial. You can't capture it properly if you don't compromise the picture a bit. i.e accept some noise, reflections of make the pic "overly lit". I'm always aiming for the clean shots. I think I managed to capture the color quite well with this shot. Like I said, it's very tricky watch to photograph... maybe the most difficult I've ever encountered. But that makes it just fun and challenging. Check Neil's shots of the grey one. Those are great.
  21. Actually TAG Link Chrono was among first reps that was extremely accurate. But the price back then wasn't any higher than the standard 7750-based reps. It's still just as accurate as the new "Super Reps", by any standards. And yes, it's very difficult watch to get a good pic from.
  22. Thanks Chief. The surface is a piece of red candle holder (made of glass). I've used it a lot lately... got bored with the wood.
