  1. I think SFSO has superior movement, reliability wise (basic ETA 2824), which is virtually bullet proof. Although I haven't had any issues with my new 7750 movements (after a year) they MIGHT be a bit risky. Maybe the potential problems have been exaggerated... we don't really hear that many complaints of the new 7750 here. With the old version it was much worse. Difficult to say which one is better rep though. Personally, I ended up with SFSO because I rather wear that kind of watches. It's definitely one of the most impressive reps I've seen. EVO is still very high on my "must have" list though.
  2. Yes... pretty much. And that's the figure I think they'll end up in these auctions, too. If you're lucky you might pick up one for around $600, even. The full size is much, much more expensive. The "reduced" version is excellent "value" Omega. Same thing as Tudor Mini/midsize Submariner, basically. The price of the full size is almost 100% more for both these watches.
  3. @HiDef: I don't really miss them. Not to say they weren't gorgeous reps, but I think vintage Subs aren't really for me. Since genuines do count... This is mine (my grandfather's old watch). Sorry, quite bad photos...gotta shoot better ones one of these days. A pocket watch with Breguet coil from my dad's collection:
  4. They look genuine. You probably noticed that these all (or at least the ones I checked) are the "reduced" versions. i.e smaller. The best way to notice that is to see from the running seconds at '3 subdial.
  5. @Teddy boy: You obviously misunderstood that part in my review. Breitling is very easy to resize, I only complained about the loose screws. When you resize, remember to glue the 2 small screws properly so you won't lose them. PO is a tough watch to resize, not the SuperOcean.
  6. Thanks man... you're way too kind. But it would be too hard to send it back. I want my own. I have to get one for myself eventually. Maybe Puggy could trade his to some secret photo tips.
  7. Thank you Sir Nanuq. Your gen Bond Sub is amazing too... as always. Yeah, this is really sweet ExpII. The only problem is that it feels SMALL (after UPO and SuperOcean)!!! Dunno yet if I keep it or not... @Stephane: I love that Speedy.
  8. Decided to give my SuperOcean a break for a while... and wear my other new watch: Explorer II. Have a great weekend!
  9. I don't have any fancy tools. Big needle, a small hammer and pliers are everything you need to size ANY pin-bracelet.
  10. What r11co said. But that applies to the whole Speedmaster line and the PO Chrono as well. It's impossible to get the subdial spacing correct for these... you just buy the watch if you like it and live with the wide spacing. Very good looking watch, but since it has to compete against the SMP Chrono (which is extremely accurate and has perfect spacing) I guess it won't be a huge seller.
  11. I agree with cornerstone. Don't give that bracelet to the dumbasses at the mall. At least not without printed pdf. Learn to resize them yourself, it's not that difficult.
  12. Yes it will. It doesn't make any visible difference (which is important), but it'll make the edges softer and smoother. You need some patience though.
  13. Welcome to the forum. Breitling replicas aren't that rare, and many of them are excellent. You can start your learning curve from here: http://www.rwg.cc/members/Community-Guide-...cas-t12678.html
  14. Scotch Brite-Pad is the best, safest and easiest way. It's also perfect to brush off scratches from bracelets and clasps (brushed steel bracelets, that is).
  15. Check the SELs, dial and gigantic crown & cg's. Some poor bastard is going to get scammed with this POS: http://cgi.ebay.com/ROLEX-Oyster-Explorer-...1QQcmdZViewItem
  16. How can a person be "worth 380 million"? Proof that world is completely [censored] up... at times it feels like money is what everybody cares/talks about these days... and all this money crap gets pushed by the media... I've said it before... people have cash registers where their hearts should be. Pathetic.
  17. Nice shots/watch Ubi! For me it's a no-brainer, my new SteelFish SuperOcean.
  18. I loved my 4th Gen. And I actually like the 42mm size better, it's more "balanced". I've taken one of my favourite watch pictures of the 4th Gen. Enjoy (I hope).
  19. I no longer have these, but here's the two MBW's I've owned...
  20. Scratches on sports watches are just cool. I love the scratches. But Scotch Brite-Pad is excellent for brushed finish.
  21. Mmmm... beautiful. I think I could get one or two of those inserts as well.
  22. My GMT just two weeks ago. I was going to buy a franken-GMT but the deal didn't happen... so I "accidentally" sold my GMT Master. But... Precious Time has another one coming for me already.
  23. With UPO and Steelfish part of the good "feel" probably comes from the fact that these watches are really heavy. Also SMP Chrono and most of the 7750-based reps. Navitimer weak spot is the bracelet, which doesn't quite feel the same as the genuine. Putting it on a strap is probably better option. Some $200 Rolex replicas are actually decent quality as well, but since the watches are light and flimsy (gens and reps) you won't get the same impression. Also... polishing job, waxing... and oiling the bracelets is the single most important mod for these... anyone can do it. It improves the feel dramatically.
