  1. You seem to love those new toys Ubi. Really nice they are (says Yoda). It's Thursday morning here and I'm going with this classic rep (recycling the old wrist shots again).
  2. Nice shots as usual mate. I like the darkness.
  3. Starting the week with the magnificient Steelfish. Let's see yours!
  4. Wrong. This hand stack is correct for the vintage model. This is rather nice looking rep. I would just "vintagize" it a bit, enjoy it... and forget about the flaws. I'd probably drill the lug holes though.
  5. My girlfriend is just packing the bags as we speak. I'll have to drive 25 kilometers to my summer cottage before I can start drinking. I don't drink often but midsummer is a must... you HAVE to be drunk to be a genuine Scandoscum.
  6. We Scandinavians are celebrating the Midsummer this weekend. So I'm definitely "out of town". SMP chrono is my choice for the weekend watch. Let's see yours.
  7. A classic. I wear my goold old SMP rep at least once every week. Personally, I don't care whether my watch had pins or screws. That's just something that absolutely NOBODY would ever notice. PS: If someone could provide those spare SMP chrono rep inserts, I'd buy two.
  8. Not bad. It's from the same factory as my Daytona. PS: Watch not for sale.
  9. All Rolexes are fake. End of discussion.
  10. Hi Yellomen, I don't have this watch anymore. It used the 1680 MBW case... so no difference there. I don't remember how it was placed. Perhaps someone else could help?
  11. Excellent choice. Very understated and elegant rep... very "believeable".
  12. Like I said good to see you back Jani. Go for the ETA version. Great rep.
  13. Good riddance. I bet that was his real picture too. He was right about Luckyyy though... and probably got scammed (really).
  14. Depends on the watch. On sports watches like Seamaster or Sub scratches look just cool. But on more "dressier" ones... not that much.
  15. @Stephane: Yes, we really do. Most of the Scandoscums just use the Midsummer as an excuse to get shitty drunk. I don't drink or smoke, but I guess I could take a few beers too.
  16. Great shots Nanuq. We get the midnight sun here in Scandinavia too. There's nothing like it.
  17. I'm not a PAM fan (generally). But that gold PAM looks really nice. I also like Clive's Vacheron. TT Navi was the nicest gold rep I've owned.
  18. That's definitely genuine. This guy has very good reputation. The cg's might be a bit different on the gold version... or look different, because the light reflects differently from them. I don't like the full gold Sub at all. $17.500, huh? Imagine all great steel Rollies you could buy for that price... instead of this dirty old man/Pablo Escobar watch.
  19. Yeah, so do I. There's always the excitement about the overtaking... and which race of the season it takes place. Seriously, the "soap opera" around F1 is often more exciting. Those guys are such prima donnas.
  20. I think Raikkonen got everything too easily. One year at Sauber, then straight to the top team. His performance in 2003 with a POS McLaren was unbelieveable though. He almost won the WDC, and made ZERO mistakes in the whole season! After that it has been a downhill. Now he just collects the biggest paycheck and laughs all the way to the bank. I'm sure if he's even motivated... a spoiled little brat that he is. If he doesn't get his shit together he'll be out of F1 soon. Talent alone won't make you a champion. Hamilton should be careful to not suffer the same faith. But he looks much more like "down to earth" guy. I really hope Hamilton will win the WDC. For some reason I can't stand Alonso... there's something so ghey about him. And his last whiney about McLaren favoring Hamiton was LAME and uncalled for.
  21. The infamous m and M alignment is a bit off too. And I agree the Noob dial is better.
  22. It's part of the fact that F1 cars are easier to drive than ever before: traction control, etc. Not to take anything away from Hamilton though. The guy has been a sensation, and there's absolutely no reason to talk down his achievements. Kimi Raikkonen has been driving like a slug. It's amazing how much talent this guy supposedly has, but it looks like he just doesn't give a damn. Rumor has it that he's a heavy drinker and a party boy, and doesn't really care about developing the car. Not to mention he has a personality and articulation of a beached whale.
  23. Yes I agree. The current red letter SMP rep is unacceptable.
  24. Thanks Zed. That's an old shot... and a daylight shot. One of my lucky ones, I guess.
