  1. How isn't a watch like UPO not a "super rep"? It's just as accurate as anything else... for less than $200. I think those $1K reps that Joshua sells now are completely insane... Swiss movement or not. I will never again pay more than $300 for a rep... I wasted a fortune on a MBW 1680 (in the rep scale) and even with all those mods it wasn't as accurate as my $99 Noobmariner. Breitling SuperOcean and Evo are awesome... and I can almost understand the 300+ price tag on those. But there are lots of excellent reps for little money. $500 and $600... no way. I never jumped on the Hublot bandwagon, although I like the watch.
  2. Day off from work, stressful weekend... I spent the day in my summer cottage which is only 30 minutes drive from the downtown. Lovely place... and I enjoyed the nice, relaxing day with my new watch.
  3. I think bklm's no-date is pretty damn good (save the bracelet and lugholes). Of course the dial isn't perfect, etc. but basically it's very good. The no-date has shallower rehaut and the TW case is too deep even for the date version. blkm's case looks almost spot on to me. My old man owns a genuine no-date. Here's a reference pic:
  4. There can be only one.
  5. Congrats mate! How many candles on the cake? 24 or 25?
  6. Usually all reps come from the same factory. There are variations among the most popular watches, like Submariner and Planet Ocean... but mostly the dealers sell the exact same watches. There's no such thing as "Paul's Navi" or "Joshua's Navi". The watches are from factory #1... or occasionally from factory #2. About the Serie Speciale: The case and bracelet should be brushed. Joshua was selling excellent rep of the Serie Speciale but it had Swiss Valjoux in it... and the price was very high. Dunno if it has been released in Asian 7750. Check the Breitling Guide for more info (sticky in the Breitling area).
  7. Hi Jumbie. Welcome. There are some nice TAG Link reps available, you're on the right track... I bought one for mine and one for my girlfriend. If you don't trust (or need) the chrono, check out chrgod's review of the non-chrono Link. Excellent rep as well.
  8. Nice watch and pics mate. Enjoy! How about a wrist shot?
  9. I guess genuine. It's a quartz, right?
  10. Precious Time just shipped my watch. I created a rep vs. gen comparison shot. Not bad, eh? More is to come. Rep picture taken by PT.
  11. I sell all my watches that I don't wear. Sometimes it takes a while to realize that about some particular watch... sometimes you just get completely bored of some other watch... without any particular reason. Sometimes you might want to sell a watch to "upgrade" to the newer (and sometimes better) version. But generally I don't to keep want any watches that never get any wrist time. I'm not a collector. Watches are designed to be worn.
  12. All outstanding reps mate. You really know what versions to buy. The PO is my favourite (you guessed, right?)
  13. Probably rotating these two during the weekend.
  14. How about the TT Navitimer? One of the most beautiful reps I've owned.
  15. Wore the good old SMP today.
  16. I don't own this anymore, but I liked this AP a lot:
  17. I don't see a huge difference... but yeah, some very small things might start annoying us with the reps, although most people probably could never notice. Glad that small mod made you happier. Enjoy... it's very good rep of the stainless Sub.
  18. Oh yeah... I'm well known of regularly abusing the board with flames. And I even insulted Slay... call the Bobbies! Here's a virtual Kleenex for you.
  19. Wow... a playground insult. "U r 2"... I'm impressed. "Yo momma wears combat boots" is probably next? Btw, that was a rhetorical question so you needn't bother sparking up your sole sputtering neuron to generate another dull, dim-witted rejoinder. I especially dislike people who somehow visualize that they're some sort of authorities over their fellow veteran posters, abusing controversial threads by posting completely useless and equally abusive "calm down guys" messages. Yeah, I flamed a noob. Maybe I was "over the line" and unfair, but it's definitely not your call to judge that. Do me a favour CC, if you're going to post more girly snide remarks at me, at least make it straight and honest next time. I have absolutely nothing against good, old fashioned flame war (if absolutely necessary). And it has nothing to do with "anger management", either.
  20. Wanna be more specific who you're referring to... so we don't have to scratch our heads and attempt to "read between the lines"? I reply to at least 15-20 newbie pm's every week regarding Submariners. Most of the time I don't even get a "thank you" for return. If I got pi$sed off when he called me "elitist" I think I'm entitled to it... People who are familiar with me know full well that I'm far from "elitist"... and frankly I don't think I deserve your patronizing, or veiled hints of my alleged "medication", either. And Slay is a flame bait, plain and simple. Perhaps you're not familiar with his history in this community. I try to stay away from his crap as much as possible... but when there's a controversial thread somewhere he's always there to pour more gas on the fire.
  21. I see that I somehow failed to drill deep enough into that ossified cranium of yours last time (although it does appear I did strike a nerve or two in the attempt...) Yeah, tell us again how you handled those Russian mafia guys who came to your bar looking for trouble. Tell us also about those supermodel chicks that you bang regularly... and your replica guns... or how you drive a Ferrari... I'm all ears pal.
  22. Not in a rage. When someone acts like an ass he gets treated like an ass. YOU should know this Slay. It's just simple mathematics... applies to the real world as well. Why should the members act like they owe something to people who come here and act arrogantly right from their first or second post? Try acting like that in a downtown taxi cue 4am next Saturday and you'll find out what I mean.
  23. I have never been "elitistic" to people who have some manners. Lazy and arrogant noobs who think that this place is some kind of Wal-Mart just annoy me... and are wasting EVERYBODY'S time. Things aren't so simple here... this is not mainly a rep sales forum... and we're not your f'n messenger boys. And don't come and tell me where to post here... BOY... mr. wanna-buy-a-Rolex number 75.233.
  24. Gee...you must have searched very hard. http://www.rwg.cc/members/Review-Of-Modded...riner-t927.html It's an introduction to MBW watches. This is "sticky" in the subforum called "Rolex Area". I wonder how much "more accessible" you can make ANY information.
