  1. I agree with Puggy. Why call Seagull movement "Lemania" when it has absolutely nothing to do with Lemania? It's complete misrepresentation. It's not just Josh and Andrew... pretty much all dealers still call it "Lemania" and lie to the newbies. It's ironic... the Seagull ST-19 is hands down the best chrono movement in reps so there wouldn't be any reason to mislead people. It would be the same thing as selling ETA movement as "genuine Rolex movement"... or plated watch as "solid gold". I completely agree with the mineral/sapphire thing too. If the watch has mineral crystal you simply don't call it "sapphire". That's lying... or at least blatant misleading... plain and simple. Telling the truth should never be "optional", even for the best and most trusted dealers. I don't know what's the new "Asian ETA" but it sounds fishy to me... especially if the bph is just "upgraded" from the old 21J.
  2. Thanks for posting this pictorial Jason. Appreciated. I'll add this to my Omega Guide. I think the PO chrono is partly a victim of the "new era" reps like TAG Link Chronograph, SMP Chrono and the new Navitimers, which are very accurate... and have perfect spacing because they're based on 7750-powered gens. What people don't realize is that we currently don't have a rep movement to forge watches like the Speedmaster, PO Chrono or El Primero Daytona spacing properly. I'm sure both dealers and members overestimated the sales potential of the PO Chrono. Year ago it would have sold like hotcakes, but suddenly the subdial spacing was something that members simply couldn't get over with. This probably means that we'll never see reps of some new desirable chronograph watches (like Ebel 1911 BTR). If they don't sell they won't make 'em. Members are insanely demanding these days... even with obscure watch models. Sometimes I feel it's taking part of the fun away of this hobby. Personally I couldn't care LESS about the subdial spacing on a watch like PO Chrono. It's quite rare watch, and the odds getting "called out" are laughably small... I'd say nonexistant. I also have the same philosophy: If I see a great looking watch, I'll buy it and enjoy it... and don't really care what other people think. Rep collecting should not be just obsessive nitpicking. Enjoy your fine watch. PS: My good friend Demsey also bought this rep. Have you read his observations yet? http://www.replicacollector.com/members/in...showtopic=27999
  3. Wow that TT Chronomat really is something. I always love how the gold watches look on the pictures and display... loved my TT Navi... but I just can't wear gold, either. Too flashy. But man some TT watches look fantastic... and blue TT Chronomat is one of the most beautiful watches I've seen.
  4. Railmaster XXL is seriously COOL watch. Just awesome!!! Looks like you have big enough wrist for it, too.
  5. Thanks for getting us started Randy. I've been wearing this for a while now. Kinda fell in love with the GMT again... have a good weekend guys!!! Will probably wear my Omegas during the weekend too... mainly this one:
  6. Very nice. You've been busy with the camera, eh? That often happens with a new watch.
  7. Needless to say the pics are great (as usual). Awesome pictorial. Added to the Omega Guide.
  8. What's there to compare? Same watch from the same factory... different dealer. Sigh...
  9. @TT: Check this review: http://www.watchtime.com/archive/wt_2001_0...2001_06_126.pdf
  10. Talking about Journey... I heard they're still around, which was kinda shock to me. Once a huge stadion act is now playing the casinos and rodeo shows. Kinda embarrassing, really... some bands just don't know when to quit. Actually Journey was a good, talented progressive rock band in the 70's and did some excellent albums before they turned to a cheesy hit factory. I have Journey, Escape, Infinity and Evolution and those are good rock albums. Raised on Radio (where Randy Jackson played) is mostly crap... and the last one (Trial by Fire) was just pathetic.
  11. That "perfect" Sub looks nice, but the cyclops and datewheel are positioned way too right on the crystal/dial. When it's about Rolex reps there's always the "but". The positioning was perfect on Nooby (and its ETA incarnations), but now it has been screwed again. They can't (or don't want) to make the Sub right.
  12. Glad you're enjoying the PO. I'm wearing my Speedy today:
  13. That is seriously a problem and a threat to this community. Same thing with Richard's Replica Watch Blog. They're on top of all Google searches. I think it's very bad thing. This hobby is becoming mainstream... slowly but surely... and the customs problems will only get worse. And I'm sure Swatch Company, Rolex and Richmond will try to do at least something to harm us eventually. I could be wrong... but this is just a "gut feeling" I have.
  14. Good morning. I'm going to hit the gym... and later the office, with this good old thing on my wrist. Fresh, hot wristshot:
  15. The watch in the picture looks genuine. Can't say much about the price... but it sounds high (without paperwork).
  16. Yep.. that's a rep alright. Someone should warn the high bidder. On the genuine the subdials are closer to eachother.
  17. "Buy-More"... I like that. Glad you're enjoying the PO. A rep can't really get much better than that. But yeah... adding OEM bezel and double AR coating would make it virtually perfect.
  18. I'm starting the boring office week with my TAG Link Chrono. Mmm, still love this...
  19. I agree, you should mark the "rep" and "gen" to each picture. It appears that your gen has more "pinkish" subdial hands. Is it apparent, or only visible in the zoomed pictures? I have plenty of gen SMP chrono pics in my hard drive and none of them have "pinkish" hands. Maybe this applies to newer models only? I will link this to the Omega Guide for the next update. Great work... and of course beautiful watches!
  20. It's all answered here: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=9437
  21. I wish the rep makers could find a solution to rep the El Primero Daytona properly somehow. It's indeed a beauty... I like it more than the modern version. Actually, I wouldn't mind a 1:1 modern Daytona with frozen faux chronograph, either. Just to have one in my collection to photograph and admire... PS: After thinking it long and hard I think I like your white dial version better.
  22. Uh huh... that's a bold statement. Or was it a pun (Best->best). George Best was one of the greats... I'd rank him along with Cruyff and the likes... but better than these two?
  23. Yeah, I guess you're right. It's all about money and marketing these days. People have cash register where their heart ought to be.
  24. That's just insane. I mean... he's a decent player but he's not like Pelé or Maradona.
  25. So let's get it going again... what's the watch choice for the weekend? I'm afraid I can't be around in the forums during the weekend that much... lots of things to do. But nevertheless... I'm probably going to wear my Big Bad Planet Ocean through the whole weekend. I still can't get over how amazing this rep is.
