  1. How can that be... a humor thread posted to the humor section for us humorless people. But in the end of the day... I don't think it's difficult to see the humor in this. But of course... all humor should be "politically correct" these days. Also without any taste, smell or flavour. Hey... that sounds a lot like the Scandinavian political system. (I hope this isn't considered as a bigoted/racist statement here.)
  2. @TT: Oldie but goodie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlozgaQnK7M
  3. I think the real question is why police is needed in the football games in the first place. Actually I find it funny that the players act like primadonnas and get "injured" on the field when someone even remotely touches them... but the fans are more violent and aggressive than in any sport. That's why I love hockey, it's a man's sport. All fights stay in the rink. And Beckham isn't as bad as people think... he's no Maradona...but he's actually a useful player. The English national team could still use him... and L'Oreal too, I'm sure.
  4. @eddhead: I think you're a bit too sensitive. Take a virtual Kleenex here mate... The initial joke was apparently directed at the uneducated Americans. If it was directed at uneducated Europeans I would have responded accordingly. If you think that I was calling Americans generally dumb you need to work on your reading comprehension problem. And I don't find the name "Bubba" offensive at all. The British equivalent would be "Butcher Sam".
  5. @eddhead: The rednecks do exist... and they're an international phenomenon. We Europeans definitely have our share too. They're just called "football fans" here.
  6. Looks like the local pie eating contest winner got himself a BIG GUN. How masculine... what would Freud say?
  7. I'd find this map funny if I didn't still meet many rednecks who think that the world revolves around the USA. The culture, civilization, legal system, free economy and language was transported there from Europe just a while ago. For some weird reason lots of Lukes and Bubbas somehow visualize that these great things are all invented in the US... in a country that's just a few hundred years old for Chrissakes!!! I find that almost hilarious. Nothing against America though... great country. I just despise the arrogant rednecks (regardless of their nationality).
  8. I dont know if it's possible to get "perfect" collection but I'm very satisfied with every single rep I own. Difficult to believe there will ever be better versions of the following reps: Omega PO 45mm Seamaster Chrono TAG Link Chrono "Bond" Seamaster These four are my "holy grail" reps... and will never part with them. I also think the new Breitlings (Chronomat and SuperOcean) are as good as they ever get. I don't think I'll buy lots of watches anymore (wishful thinking maybe). I think it's possible so I voted "yes". But there will always be 2-3 more watches you'd like to own...
  9. I wouldn't buy anything from a guy who's surname is Prick.
  10. Nice shots. The $99 Nooby has the best crown guards hands down.
  11. Yeah... what is this talk about some bands that don't know when to quit. As you can see Eddie is in great shape.
  12. Diamonds is the best way to ruin great sports watches like Chronomat. Horrible.
  13. Beautiful work as usual. SMP chrono is one of my favourite reps too.
  14. Does this count? http://www.mameworld.net/ If not... Pro Evolution Soccer 5 then.
  15. Very nice Calibre 36 Iceberg. I really like the glass back... to have a look at the mighty EL. Yours the TAG flagship model, I wouldn't mind owning one, either. Post some more pics of it if you have a chance.
  16. Good idea. I have never made huge sized wallpapers. Just some decorated "review sized" pics. Here's some (though you have probably seen them all). Some group shots:
  17. After giving it a second thought... from all of my reps I would probably choose the Seamaster Chrono. I love the standard Bond too, but the chrono version is kinda "best of both worlds". Outstanding rep and I really, really like wearing this watch.
  18. Nice choices mate. I would have taken the exact same ones.
  19. GREAT work... I love it!!! Losing a pearl is always a nice touch.
  20. I have the same principle. I have sold all the watches that I don't wear. My current collection is only 7 watches. I probably end up in the range of 10 watches or so... I don't really have just one favourite. My current collection is a combination of the best reps... and I can't really consider selling any of them.
  21. I wore my good old Seamaster today.
  22. Here's a dirty shot I took a while back from slightly different angle... on my 8' wrist. A bit bulky, yes... but would probably look okay on a smaller guy too (just like Pug's pictures show). A few "ordinary" wrist shots: This watch is a must (imho). Fantastic rep.
  23. Hi guys... I've been a bit busy lately. Today I wore my magnificent TAG Link.
