  1. Kudos to Andrew. He's always takin' care of the biz. Why they put that horrible date font in the beautiful watch like this and completely RUIN them in the first place? Small children should not see that font as it's so freakin' horrible.
  2. My first car was Ford Capri 3.0S (model 1980) with Recaro interior (original). Yeah, a wannabe poor man's sports car but I loved it when I was 18. Now I drive a Audi A6... but my dream car is the original Audi Sports Quattro. I wouldn't mind a BMW 850i, either. Those can be found for reasonable prices. But then again, I'm not a huge "car person" anymore.
  3. Beauties Randy. So the other one came from Ziggy already?
  4. I'd say 95% of diver watch (and non-chronograph) reps are water resistant. Most of them pass all the tests with flying colors. But because there's no QC this can't be guaranteed. Caseback might be loose, crystal might leak, etc. These are rare occurances but you never know. PS: This must have been answered at least 10.000 times... and since the search engine seems to be broken again????? I thought one more round wouldn't hurt. Bazz took nice water shots of his Ultimate PO here: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=17506
  5. Ahh... then there's no reason to complain, imho. But the buyer said this: "it got wrong datewheel - although pictures indicate correct font" Wonder what pictures he means...
  6. @vaccum: Great shots mate!!! The size difference doesn't look THAT big in your pictures. However the difference is much more dramatic when you set the watches like this: PS: Are you enjoying your "Ultimate"... isn't it just as good as I said.
  7. I said it once... but doesn't matter saying it twice: this was a great review. I loved it. Thank God I haven't gotten the "IWC bug" yet (although I like them and respect the brand). I always seem to have enough watches I want to buy.
  8. That's the same horrendous font that was used in the "brushed bezel" Link Chronograph. I'm not too anal... but that simply ruins the otherwise nice watch. There's no excuses, that datefont is simply terrible. If the sales pictures had different font that's what you should receive (imho). This is not a cheap rep.
  9. It was TAG Link, actually. My girl loves her TAG and has worn it every day since she got it. Very nice quality (for a ladies' rep). Here's the review again: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=14263
  10. Yep, the lume on the "Ultimate" is very good. But the 4th Gen already had excellent lume. I think it was even better since the pearl was very luminous and bright, too.
  11. Hey Kaner... that was a good one. I completely agree. Gangsta rap is the cancer of the society.
  12. No, they're similar as yours. It's the excessive lighting, contrast setting and the use of a white reflector card in the photo that just makes them look flat.
  13. Just a side note: Can't really think of anything more pathetic than people who boast about their salary... online of offline. I guess the only thing lower is to boast about the size of your dick. I just met a guy (friend of a friend) a few weeks ago in a party... and he was a type of person who loved his own voice. He told me that he earns about 10K € a month (he said he was an airline pilot). But he tried to disguise this pathetic bragging to sentences like "I don't think 10K a month is a lot, do you?" I answered to him that "No... I make that in two weeks." I don't really know what airline pilots make... and I don't care. The guy looked like a mix between Captain Kangaroo and Woody Allen...suffering from a Napoleon complex. So I guess that was the real reason to his behaviour. I couldn't care LESS what the dealers (or any other people) make. Other people's salary and income is none of my business. If I want gossip I'll read Elle or Cosmopolitan.
  14. Here's another dial shot. Not perfect since the hands are in a bit bad position. But the white dial is very clean and beautiful. Notice the different text (automatic) on my dial.
  15. Congrats vric, what a beautiful watch. This is one of the reps that never lost its appeal to me. It's stealthy and beautiful... very "low end", but because of the thick blue broad arrow hands it's not "pale" like some other white dial watches. Finding it without "automatic" was really nice surprise. A true collector's item in the rep world.
  16. Looks like you posted pics of 2 different watches. The watch in the first pic has crown guards. I have absolutely no idea what are the tell-tales of this being a fake. I don't know anything about the Bond Sub... and frankly I think it doesn't have the same presence and attraction as the later models. I know how valuable they are though... So... are we waiting for Nanuq or are you going to tell us?
  17. Ok guys... here are the decent wrist shots that I've been promising since I posted the review (got my camera back finally). Enjoy!
  18. Hmm, all the talk about Rolex lately... how the reps are so outdated, etc. So I decided to wear one today. Gotta admit this ain't so bad.
  19. Brutal. But I hope the watches are ok. Welcome (back)!!!
  20. Crap. This might apply to Rolex (if the AD is very professional) because the AD's probably have lots of experience with fakes... but I'm sure only the RWG hardcore rep nerds are able to tell the difference about some models... I have a good friend who's extremely educated about Omegas (he owns the gen Moon Watch and the black Seamaster), works in a Omega AD and he didn't have any idea my Broad Arrow Seagull was a rep when he saw it. And he's a professional WATCHSMITH, authorized to fix genuine Omega watches... not just some average dope salesman who works behind the desk. And yet that rep is partly a fantasy watch/hybrid. When I told him he was just floored. He realized after a while that the Seagull isn't Lemania, but he had no idea it wasn't a genuine Omega movement. He was stunned to see the finish and overall quality of the watch. Of course he saw the difference in the parts' quality when he took it apart and "froze" my 6' subdial. But he said he had never, ever seen any fake watch like that before. I ask him to not tell to his collagues... and the guy has 2 reps now btw. Lots of members have sized their bracelets in the AD's (not a good idea, imho) and have never been called out. I have known this guy for 20 years. Other than that... I never take my reps to the AD.
  21. Okay... that's it. When a noob PM's me and asks about the "best Sub" I'll always tell him to ask Neil.
  22. You bought BOTH orange and black? You're nuts... but I love it. Congrats!!! How about a double wrist shot?
  23. I think we should just call all of them "MBW" . I'm not a big fan of Maria (based on my chats with him/her)... but since "MBW" is such an estabilished term we should stick to that to avoid confusing the newbies. I mean...we already have enough "What's the MBW?" questions. We don't need "who's BKK?" on top of that.
  24. Yeah... the "Ultimate" is much better. What I'm trying to say that 4th Gen is still very good rep when you put it next to an average replica watch. I already traded it though. Not because it was flawed, but the 42mm felt wimpy after the Monster. Sub feels like a ladies' watch after wearing the Big PO.
