Loved my franken Explorer II. What a great watch.

It's a steel Rolex... a tool watch. If the crystal scratch is just a small one, who really cares?

Yes. Go for it, if you like the white Explorer II. I'm a Omega fan but Rolex is Rolex. And white ExpII is a great classic. It's a very small watch though (compared to PO). Wears much smaller than Sub and GMT, which are only 1mm larger (due to bigger bezel). PS: That's the tritium dial older version. They're a few hundred bucks cheaper preowned than the superlume versions. Wouldn't bother me though.

Skyland all the way. One of the nicest reps done, imho. Review of v2

Wrong. They produced super luminova dials with SELs and lugholes for over 2 years. Just like my gen 16710 K-serial. It has SELs + Super luminova dial + lug holes. PS: That's a nice ExpII.

I think it's fairly nice rep. Nothing spectacular though. The crown guards are the biggest issue (as usual). 1675 cg's aren't "spiky" like that, but square... those are a bit too short and spiky. But not all bad. Best OTB 1675 anyway.

I hope it's going to be slightly better effort than the original SSD, which was pure crap.

No... sorry. bklm1234 is pretty much your only chance, but I doubt he can source this rep anymore (as it's completely out of production). I'm afraid member trades is the only option.

No... you can't fix it. The case is missing the gen looking "cylindrical shape", which is very apparent when you photograph the watch from front. The problem isn't all bad on your watch though... but most of the cheap ass Rolex reps don't have this "rehaut thickness" at all... they're "wokky". Then look at the (now difficult to source) best Noob version(s). Rehaut shape and thickness under the crystal looks almost 1:1 with the gen. Watch in your pics is not a bad rep, just not the best one made.

It looks ok, but the crystal construction is bad. The Noob version was the only great ExpII and I doubt they can duplicate that anymore. Especially when it's already an old model. I wouldn't buy this one, but then I again I owned the greatest rep of it. As Ronin says, the gen markers are actually very dark gun metal grey, which appear black in most lighting conditions. The old white Explorer II reps had light grey hour markers that looked terrible.

Sounds very reasonable. It's a great, great rep. People always complain about the lume dots but I never understood this. If you get decent dots, you won't be able to see the problems with a naked eye. Same people who complain about the Skyland dots completely ignore that the "super rep" v3 BCE has huge, chewing-gum like green lume tabs. I will never sell my Skyland.

Yes, it's the v2. Very nice rep. I've owned plenty of reps but have kept only 4. Skyland v2 is one of my "fab four".

As TTK said... the only chance to receive anything "Swiss" with those watches is to hope that the Chinese construction (child) worker dropped a piece of Toblerone in it. Come on guys... that's a good old fashioned scam site, plain and simple.

Think about it guys. Almost all good old Rolex stuff is gone. WM9 watches are gone, old school MBW is gone, Noobfactory classics (ExpII, GMT 16710) are gone... There's only those new ugly Rolex models available (repped) now.

Damn... if I ever buy another rep, that might be the one. Great. The only small complaint is the SELs... they're ok but not perfectly fitted (not recessed correctly). But without a doubt that's the rep king of TT Subs. Enjoy.

@Red: Is that a new acquisition? Tell me more about it. I'm going with my old SMP.

I've "flipped" a LOT of reps. But the only rep that I really miss is the BTR.
