  1. I actually made a similar tutorial a few years ago. Great minds think alike.
  2. I'm from Europe and I don't know much about Boston... but I like NHL hockey a lot, and I love the Boston Bruins. Chara is da man. Welcome!
  3. Actually if things are getting really bad, I could probably get their IP's (I have my connections) and embarrass these bozos publicly... I'm sure they'd like to see their rep forum identities published there, waddya say? Come to think of it... I might actually do that (if these clowns keep posting my photos there).
  4. Too bad Paneraifreak (the Golf Club guy) isn't around anymore... he'd would probably take this advice.
  5. Has anyone heard of Pugwash after his Vegas trip? I bet he won a lot of money, met one of those "casino girls" and is still having fun there.
  6. First: Welcome to RWG! VC is a great watch. And how refreshing to see a new member requesting something else than Rolex. I'm sure the guys can help you... I have no intimate knowledge in Overseas, but I recall there was very nice replication of it. Happy hunting!
  7. They do? I know the rep dealers used them a lot in Ioffer... I've seen my photos there many times. Not that I really care though... but generally I'd like the rep and gen forums to keep a lot of distance. That kind of threads aren't good for either. And besides, they're bound to increase the interest for the reps, which probably isn't what the TRF owners want. PS: There are good, knowledgeable members at TRF as well. But lots of annoying little snobs.
  8. @Lani: If I ever purchase another rep watch, it's going to be the BCE. "Thanks" for posting those amazing photos man... now I feel the "itch" again.
  9. Now some asshole (KyleL) has posted my WM9 Sub v2 photo there. Thanks for that, whoever you are. http://rolexforums.com/showpost.php?p=1507773&postcount=333
  10. Have you noticed that this thread was started back in 2006? Back then we didn't have Steelfish or BCE.
  11. Lots of wankers at TRF. Went there once... they have this "fake report" forum where they have a few "experts". The other "leading report guy" looks like a mix between Captain Kangaroo and Dame Edna and the other one is a classic Trekkie nerd who looks like he has never gotten laid in his entire life. Buying a gen Rolex was probably the most dramatic thing ever happened to him (after taking a bus to downtown all by himself, without his parents of course). During my short visit there, they reported 2 perfectly legit vintage Subs to Ebay as fakes, because those watches supposedly had wrong looking "S" on the dial... or wrong looking "number 20" on the bezel, or whatever... Anyone with even remote knowledge in Rolex could have seen that both were 100% genuine Rolexes from good sellers (I happen to know the other seller). They are as clueless as it gets and their fake report forum is a joke. They have absolutely no clue what they're talking about and they think all rep wearers are filth. Stay away. The real Rolex expertise is here.
  12. @amptor: Yeah I agree the ETA version price is too high. But it's on par with the other ETA reps these days... so what can you do. The crystal makes this watch (the double AR) which is not present on the Asian version. I wonder if it's still possible to buy the great "Lite" version that Ubi had? The new one with arrow seconds hand is garbage, it's not the same rep at all. PT verified that it comes from entirely different factory.
  13. With reps, always choose the black dial. The other colors are rarely accurate. Sad but true. PS: Moved to Breitling forum. Please don't post any brand-specific posts to general discussion. That's what the brand subforums are for. Thanks.
  14. Excellent writeup FXR. Where exactly you want this to be moved... I'll do it?
  15. @Ubi: Your lite version looked amazing. Great SEL fit, great dw. Yeah SFSO is a big watch but not overly big like the Super Avenger. It's listed as 44mm but it wears MUCH smaller than a 45mm PO, for example. @Lani: Thanks man... this time only 1 new photo (that was my own). I was lazy.
  16. Thanks man! There has been a lot of talk about the bad lume dots on the SFSO. They're MUCH improved on this new one. I try to find time to set up my photo studio and take a decent dial shot later.
  17. This is XL. 44mm version. I recall the older gen model (with polished middle links) is 42mm. Don't quote me on that though.
  18. I sold my blue "Ultimate" Steelfish just recently because I was going to buy a gen. This was my old blue Fish that I loved for years. It was from TWP and it had the silver genuine ETA movement with superb PR and accuracy. TWP actually claimed that the movement received a full service by his watchmaker. He really cherry picked that watch for me because I was going to make that "big review". You can read it here.
  19. I guarantee you, if there was a great Monaco rep available there would be a LOT of interest. It's one of the most anticipated watch model yet to be repped. This kind of cheap stuff doesn't (generally) interest the membership. I guess we have become a bit "snobbish" because we've been spoiled with too many amazing replications. But you're right. It doesn't mean that we couldn't enjoy the cheaper reps as well.
  20. Funny thing, when this watch came out, I didn't like it. Now it's on top of my list. Such an original design. Congrats for the beauty!
  21. The black one is the most difficult to tell. But this looks gen as they have never produced the "ultimate" SFSO rep with the triangle seconds hand.
  22. Wow... a gen day. Well here's yet another.
  23. Great wrist shot... finally made me realize how awesome this watch looks. Congrats!
  24. I considered the chrono as well, but since the old school chrono rep is so good, and better than the standard Bond Seamaster, I bought gen version of this. Both are classics & great gen choices.
