  1. Looks great. How about this strap http://www.panatime.com/24wagelemain2.html its only $30.00 and you get 10% off with cupon code rwg. As for shipping, Stan has always shipped my orders out the day I order them. I have this exact strap in 22mm on a beater quartz watch and it is pretty nice. A little stiff at first but after a week or so its good to go.
  2. Is it the subdial at 9:00 that continues to run?? If so that is the seconds hand for the watch and will always run. The chrono function uses the traditional seconds hand so the seconds at 9 takes the place of the traditional seconds hand on a non chrono. For refrence when you start the chrono, the big seconds hand counts seconds, the 12:00 subdial registers minutes and the 6:00 subdial registers hours. The 9:00 is as stated the running seconds hand for the watch not the chrono.
  3. Hey Chief do you have a source for these dials or do you get them the same as everyone else from ebay??
  4. Yeah the deal with the straps is true. When I went to the AD to get a strap they had the black 22mm version like your blue one with the less pronounced lettering as well as a few blue ones with the more pronounced lettering. The only black one they had with the thicher lettering was 24mm. I asked why they were different and he said the less pronounced lettering strap are the new ones and the bolder ones are old.
  5. Hopefully someone will chime in who knows an iOffer seller or something that can source just the bracelet off of the cheaper incorrect version.
  6. I am really liking the Oris CC Chrono. The only problem I am having is that the gen comes on a SS band and the rep is only available with rubber. I have seen some cheaper reps of the same watch that are available on the SS band, for example here http://www.timeshops.net/OR7613_-_Oris_Car...__2370-2669.htm I know thats not the CC but it is the same case wise and has the SS band. I tried to e-mail the seller to see if I could buy just the SS band and got nothing. Does anyone else here know one of the iOffer type sellers that might carry the rep with the SS band who I could contact to try and get just the band?
  7. Thats strange, my wrist is the same size as yours and I never had to punch any extra holes. On my SOSF with either rep or gen rubber I use the second to last hole and it fits pretty good, I would prefer a little tighter but the very last hole is too tight. Same thing on my rep leather strap for the SOSF, second to last hole fits perfect.
  8. Well just finished sizing my UPO over the weekend. Normally with pins a thumbtack is all I need to get it...not with the UPO. Before I start I will say that I have a pin pusher on order right now. Anyways I used a Craftsman 90 deg. pick http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_0...Specialty+Tools I have a coaster made of heavy duty cork that is about 1/2" thick and shaped like well a coaster. I put the watch on my desk on its side with the side of the watch resting on a folded rag and the bracelet on its side on top of the cork. I was able to hold the pick and the watch head to stabalize it all. Once I lined up the pick into the hole I used the hinge area of my needle nose pliars as a hammer. It knocked the out of the link enough to grab it and pull it the rest of the way out with the pliars. Also using the cork the pin had a place to go once it started out of the other side. I had to remove a total of 3 links, once I did the first one, the last few went alot easier.
  9. Not sure how much this will help.... I have a 6 3/4" wrist. The SOSF wears fine, I am wearing a 45.5mm UPO right now just fine. I can't imagine the 1/2" would make that much of a difference. If I were you I would go for the SOSF or if you think that is too big @ 44mm there is always the Chronomat Evo at 42.5mm
  10. If I am not mistaken that is Akon. Based on that, I would venture to say it is a fake, and a fantasy at that.
  11. I am looking to buy some sort of pin removal tool. I have found a ton of them on e-bay in the $5-$10 dollar range but have no idea as to their quality. I figured I would ask here and see what others are using. So anyone have any suggestions? I don't mind spending a few dollars but don't want to get into spending $50+ on the Begeron, ect. as I won't be using it enough to warrant spending that kind of money.
  12. I am about to order the gen crystal for my UPO. Does anyone who has replaced their crystal with the gen or had their UPO crystal coated know if there is a gasket in there? If there is a gasket will I be able to re-use the UPO gasket when putting a gen crystal into the case?
  13. I need to measure it tonight when I get home. If I had to guess at the thickness I would say easily as thick as the SOSF which is what 5mm??
  14. I have a watch that has a mineral glass crystal on it. There is no dome/convex/ect. on it it is simply a flat crystal. I would like to have double AR applied to it, now I know they can double AR a mineral glass but if I could find a saphire crystal to replace the OEM crystal I think the end result would be much better. Does anyone know where to start looking for something like this?
  15. The funny part about it all is that the rep business probably cost brands like Seiko, Citizen, Invicta, ect...ect... more than the acctual brands being repped. That is kind of like saying that Factory5 kit cars are taking money away from the original 60's AC Cobras.
  16. Hey Lani, any chance of getting a straight on shot of the Wholesale O pear in the rep insert? I don't know if its just the angle but the WO pearl looks like it extends past the triangle, if that makes sense. I am trying to compare the WO pearl/rep insert to the OEM insert as seen here http://www.rwg.cc/members/Omega-PO-Gen-dial-t89520.html
  17. I am looking to get a new watch case to replace the bulky one I currently have as it is too big and has seen better days. I really would like to replace it with something more compact and something that is alot less of a display case. I like the way this one is setup http://cgi.ebay.com/4-Watch-Travel-Case-Ge...1742.m153.l1262 I figure two of these would still take up less room than the one I have now. My only problem is that I have watches with SS bands on them. ANyone have any experience putting a watch with a SS band in a case where the watch sits flat? Or has anyone seen something similar where the watch sits around a pillow?? I have looked and almost everything I find where the watch sits around a pillow is always wood and most times a display top which I do not want.
  18. From Ofrei Omega Case Tube 090ST1232, SKU # OME-090ST1232 Omega Stainless Steel Crown 42184, SKU # 8100/3905W Should be in the $45.00 neighborhood for both.
  19. Yeah the quartz version can be found all over iOffer for $85, including shipping. Monster I think you are comparing your quartz to the mechanical version our dealers are selling which is why you are seeing the big price difference. PO Chrono Quartz: $60.00 - http://www.ioffer.com/i/omega-ocean-plant-...r-band-31233856 $74.00 - http://www.ioffer.com/i/Omega-Planet-Ocean...-Black-80290821 $55.00 - http://www.ioffer.com/i/OMEGA-PLANT-OCEAN-...K-FACE-26038001 It goes on from there. Also do some reading on this board a bit, you will be surprised the amount of watches that contain the Asian copy of an ETA 7750 in which all stopwatch functions work just like the genuine article, granted the A7750 powered watches will usually run $200+ but you get what you are paying for. You can't compare an $85 quartz to a $200+ A7750 powered watch.
  20. Just wondering but has anyone opened up a Sea Wolf to confirm it is an ETA and not a clone. I seem to remember PO's were being sold as ETA only to later find out they were clones of the ETA....
  21. Monstermash, is that PO Chrono Quartz?
  22. It is hard to narrow down 3 movies but here is the 3 that I could watch every day. 1.) National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation 2.) My Cousin Vinny 3.) Heat
  23. Monstermash...in reguards to online being overpriced, out of curiosity how much did you shell out for the PO chrono you have pictured? I have always had good luck with our dealers and even better luck buying from members of this and other boards. I realize that buying online you can not hold it in your hands but almost every rep available has been bought and reviewed in one way or another by a member here. While I can not hold the rep in my hands I can view their pics, see what their opinion is as far as build quality is and go from there. If I buy a rep and it stops working in 2 weeks, having held it in my hands prior to buying I would not really have been able to tell that it was going to stop sooner rather than later anyways. I would love nothing more than to have a dealer within driving distance but I don't see that happening anytime soon. FOr that matter I would just be happy to find a dealer in the CONUS who keeps their stock in the CONUS. It would save me money on shipping and I would be able to get my package in 2 days.
  24. Just a thought. Since this is a modded A7750. If I were to take the movement out of the case, remove the dial, then remove the datewheel. Place a basic 7750 date wheel on the movement. Take the Datewheel that came on the watch and cut/grind off the teeth on it, then glue it to the A7750 datewheel shouldn't that negate some of the sunken datewheel problem. Granted it sounds easier than it probably is, might need to do some sanding or something to keep the thickness down so the datewheel does not rub the backside of the dial but IIRC someone did something similar on another watch I just can't think of who and what watch....
