  1. Cool hybrid. More info please Looking good
  2. Just got this last night. Loving it. Now I just need to make a decent strap for it:
  3. Been a while that I posted a wrist shot, but this new addition deserves one (Kudos to Big Dazza):
  4. The bracelet is a bit tricky to get off. Most springbar tools are a bit too wide to go the slots of the end links. I used a very small screwdriver and used it like a lever to push the shoulders of the springbars inward while pushing on the bracelet from the back. First only one springbar comes out. you have to maintain the pressure on the bracelet while working on the second one. Hope this helps. It's not all that hard - I did it at the airport
  5. No I am wondering .... I thought you were just happy to see me when we had lunch in Singapore
  6. The lume isn't really that great on these as far as I can see (had to charge mine to see that I have a green pearl). As for shock resistance: the watch hasn't left my wrist for weeks and I do occasional construction work with no problem. Best watch I have had in a while IMHO
  7. Sorry, I was put of town yesterday. Will take pictures this morning. E
  8. Hmmh, I don't remember anybody asking about a 7friday strap. But it's a straight forward 28/24 strap, so I am sure any strap maker (including me ) can make it
  9. I just finished a bunch of 20mm suede and vintage leather straps. I will take a picture tomorrow if it finally stops raining here
  10. I couldn't believe somebody took my picture and posted it on the Omega forum .... so I did a google picture search and found out that also a chinese replica site has abused my pics for linking to their website (watches mall.cn). I think I should be entitled to some commission
  11. Great looking piece. MIght want to check your pearl. It looks like it is not sitting all the way in the hole. E
  12. I have bought several watches from him and many strap sets. Great dealer IMHO
  13. No didn't touch it. Might be just the water on the bezel and/or the camera angle. The bezel is more shiny if you look at it straight on. E
  14. No, it's one I picked up a while ago to see how it was made. I like it because it is thicker than the regular natos which I always feel look a bit flimsy and cut into my wrist. Working on one right now that looks a bit like the one on the new Speedmaster Professional Apollo 11: But I want to make it so that the buckle will be on the center of the wrist and not on the side (another thing I don't like about Nato straps - I always end up with the tail sticking out over the side ... Should have a first prototype ready soon.
  15. Just passed the water test with flying colors (well swimming pool only so far):
  16. Better late than never. Just got this one:
  17. Got this one from Sead, one week door to door. runs well, maybe not the smoothest sweep there is, but no rotor noise (drives me crazy on reps...). Haven't taken it in the water yet (suede might not be the permanent solution, maybe I make a canvas strap for it). Movement looks great (correct 8400), I do wish though they had not tried to write a whole manual on the case back. Looks too crowded IMHO, but then I don't see myself taking this one off any time soon
  18. Got mine yesterday. Feels very solid, but the bracelet was way to shiny for me. I had a suede 20mm strap in my luggage and mounted it instead and now I REALLY love the watch: Nice surprise: the watch head is fully polished between the lugs so there is now unpleasant raw metal showing. Great for people that prefer this on a strap !!!
  19. Anybody ordering one soon from CONUS? I would love to piggyback (Didn't really want to order from PT after the last time when the suddenly where out of stock and it took 6 weeks to refund the money ....)
