  1. Thnx for the comparison! Still the easiest way too see if it's rep or gen is looking at the end of the groove of the shockaborber.
  2. I'm glad this is all settled now! But I still think you're a very small collector
  3. THURSDAY & FRIDAY PAM111 on Toscana Fiero
  4. Exactly the same for me. I've noticed that my interest in new reps has decreased (untill the BP finally has been released ) . So my posting here has shifted into a more social oriented content.
  5. Still.... @Ubi: I'll never get enough of the Twins
  6. I can't speak of the quality of the current Asian ETA clones, but my experiences with unserviced DG2813 movements are so far so good. My 2 Asian 7750 without chrono (automatic PAMs) and tricompax A7750 still work great without servicing. So Swiss is of no preference to me, unless it's a pre-oiled Swiss ETA7750/7753/2892 bought in a sealed bag. In fact I'm about to sell my Swiss 2824 YM and keep the DG2813 one
  7. I don't think the best times are really over. Although I will miss the members who left or decided to (temporarily) stop posting, I enjoy the postings of newcomers like Unclejay, Petergunny and many other. It's just the dynamics of a internet forum. Older members leave, new members come. Heavy discussions - some a bit more confrontational - have been from all ages.
  8. Congrats with your first fix, Lani! Fixing your own stuff can feel so rewarding. I'm sure you'll be ordering TZ Watch Course pt1 within a short time..
  9. Before we forget how it looks like...
  10. Apart from the discussion 'how Swiss is a Swiss rep these days' I would say this is Asian by the type of shock protector used....
  11. MONDAY & TUESDAY Lorenz Theatro Chrono
  12. It looks like he's serious..... I hate to lose another active posting member........
  13. Since I'm from the EU I'm closer to Corsica..... Does her sister love Panerai?
  14. Thx for posting this comparison! It also looks as if vs.2 has all fonts clear white while in vs 1 only the hour markers are clear white and the subdial rings, markers and IWC SCHAFFHAUSEN font is slightly greyish white. Don't know which is correct, though.
  15. Robi, please don't! You can't make me drink alone in the evening while reading this forum - especially after I've just added you to my friends list and I'm proud to have won your strap at the GTG....... But on a serious note, whatever differences you may have with some people here, don't forget the members make the community and among them there are a lot of people who really appreciate you being around here. You really should reconsider........
  16. If this is true that's a really black day for us and it makes me less proud of this forum........ . Although to some her topics might have been too off-topic, I think she brought some light and warmth here. Gonna miss her......
  17. Sounds like you guys had a great time together! I just love these vintage Pannies...
  18. That's an expensive table... Which one is the rep?
  19. I got mine sealed from Cousins about 6 months ago. They have/had both sealed and loose packs with difference in prices.
  20. Slightly, but because of the cyclops it's not really noticeable like it is on for example the PAM250.
  21. Didn't know that. How does the hi beat escape wheel differ from the low beat?
  22. 2 observations, though. I think TAG is more a marketing brand than Omega and the Graham Swordfish can also be used as spectacles...... Did I already said I love marketing and fashion in general?
  23. This is the beginning of the end..... You've been bitten by the Panerai bug
