It's been almost 8 months since I posted this pictorial. Meanwhile I have upgraded my watch with K2222 double AR, ETA DW's and a OEM Big Pilot strap, which really is a big improvement. When I - for some reason I forgot - took the dial off the movement I found out that the quality of the dial painting sucks. In the pic on the left you can see on the edges near 6 that the paint got off. Also when another member tried to relume the hands of his 3717, the paint fell off too. Be warned that extreme care is needed when you handle dial & hands. I ordered a replacement dial from Angus (on the right in the pic). It turned out that the text 'IWC Schaffhausen' and the markings and numbers on the subdials were painted 'greyish' off-white instead of clear white as on the first batch and gen. There also seems to exist another new incorrect version with thinner 3, 6, 9 & 12 markers (good!), but with the numbers 1, 2, ...11 lumed (wrong). So far it seems that the first batch of 3717s (from EL?) are still the best. If you have one.... you'd better keep it.

I'm with Piratedzeus. But now she knows about your interest in reps you can show her your other reps and explain why they are so good and what the flaws are in many cheap reps. In time you can tell her with a joke that it's very difficult for somebody without knowledge to find a good rep. That's a nice way to show that you appreciate her gesture, but that it's not a really good rep... edit: I overlooked Jdavis's advice which is basically the same, lol.

Simply because the rule is that you don't post your reps anywhere else other than in our rep forums. We want to keep our hobby low profile and don't want to annoy other people.

Oh boy, since my DSN 088 is still on its way, I hoped you could convince me with a review showing some good QC. Hmmm.... But apart from the flaws it's a real nice watch. Would you say the brown dial has the correct colour like the gen?

But then we really should look for a place in downtown Amsterdam instead of Breukelen......

I'm sure the lovely city of Breukelen has an AD for Fossil and Armani watches....

Hmmm, I wonder what he gets when they are getting married Longines, Baume & Mercier and Oris all have great looking quality watches for a modest price. Especially the white dial Longines Master series is very classic looking. Also the Tag Heuer Monza could be a nice and stylish choice.
