  1. So far only 1 PAM? :cc_confused: Come on guys, I need some help, MONDAY & TUESDAY PAM0250 on black TWB croc
  2. Looks like y'all had a great time together!
  3. I like this quote from the article: "To understand better the high price of a RICHARD MILLE, you only have to compare it to that of a prestige sports car or other top of the range model. Every one of the elements that goes into it, is developed and perfected entirely by hand (often involving hundreds of hours of very meticulous work by true artists) to bring you an exemplary reliability in whatever conditions you care to put it through. Parts that do not survive the draconian controls at every stage of manufacture won
  4. I couldn't agree more. For an H-series this is the best dial I've seen so far.
  5. That's definitely a very nice 176! Although the text looks a bit too big, I especially like the shape of the 6 and 9 and the position of the L Swiss Made L. Is it a Davidsen? @elisiX: wear it well
  6. I now got the double corrector from another broken 7750 GMT, but still can't get it to work But then again, this part could be the broken part, lol.
  7. It's the eaxct same part as Taka and I worked on for hours the last time, so I hoped somebody could instruct us better...
  8. At least they say Please be sure to look the photos provided very closely and ask all questions prior to bidding. We are not experts!
  9. SATERDAY & SUNDAY PAM111e on Toscana Fiero
  10. This looks very tempting
  11. I always envy people with great taste...
  12. Looks like a rep to me: - font too big - L Swiss L too close to the 6 - wrong shape of 3, 6 and 2 for H-series - probably Swiss(like) movement
  13. Nothing a gen tube and crown can't fix...
  14. Why would you say your rep is a gen when they specifically ask is it's a replica? Nothing to gain there... But as long as people don't ask, I won't tell it's a rep - except for my close friends who see a different watch on my wrist every time and might think that I can afford to buy them drinks all the time
  15. In the past we've tried several times to convince the collectors to get better quality reps and more honest advertising. Little has changed since..... Again, this is not the normal world where manufacturers compete on quality and service on an open market. So you have to get your way around it or stick to gens.
  16. Basically a good idea, but I doubt if it will be a practical solution.
  17. I totally agree! I would encourage everone who just bought a watch inspired by an old review to post his findings in that same review thread.
  18. I guess today is national PAM day. Wetting my pants here,
  19. Jay, I really appreciate your efforts for this community. Thnx for that However, I'm wondering if we need to start a new forum for problems with collectors or special models. Some of my thoughts: 1. One of the main goals of RWG is to separate the scammers from the reliable dealers. Unfortunately in the rep world there's a lot of 'grey' between real out scammers (you pay and you won't ever see a watch) and a 100% reliable dealer (you pay and you get exactly the watch that was advertised with 100% QC - every time you order). The only way to find out if a collector is mostly 'light-grey' instead of 'dark-grey' are collector trade reviews. We already have a section for that. The problem is that most of the time we only read about the good experiences and only a few threads are about deals that went wrong. I think that there are a lot of people who for the sake of their relationship with their preferred collector don't want to write negative feedback, but choose to find a solution in private. I don't say that's a good or a bad thing. It just happens. So I don't think a new forum is going to change this attitude. 2. The different brand sections among other things are meant for posting feedback and reviews on special models. It could be an idea, though, to have a review/feedback section within each brand section. In that way the feedback and general questions stay separated. 3. Although I like the idea of the showcase forum, Mods need to stay inpartial. In the past a respected member has written an excellent review of a watch that was sent to him as a freeby for a review and people started getting all over him.
  20. MONDAY PAM111e on Toscana Fiero @Laz & Max: 3 111s on a row
  21. Very nice, but still can't wait for the 45mm From a marketing perspective, why aren't you using a brand name on the watch?
  22. I can't stress enough that proper after sales is what really counts in the rep world. And that's the only criterium for me to rate a collector.
