Great looking piece, Chief!! Would love to see some close shots of those flat top SL markers where you can see how thick (or thin) the markers are.
Just wanna drool until I can send off mine for the finishing touch
It's been a while, but I remember that after a lot of frustration and some force I managed to get it loose..... somehow . Good luck! If you don't succeed bring it with you this weekend.
As the others already said it's just trial and error. So make sure you use glue that is easy to remove and dries slowly so you have time to correct and clean things. I've used some plain household glue which worked fine for me.
Argh!!!???!!! . First the JLC Master Compressor, now the BP. Wear it well my friend
P.S. I really would like to see a wristshot. What's your wrist size by the way?
P.P.S. Did you buy this one also from Andrew
I wouldn't bother with repairing or servicing. When the movement breakes you just buy a new one at Ofrei (US) or Cousins (UK). A DG2813 (one of the most common used 21j movements) costs about GBP 5,- = USD 10,- + shipping.
It's not the colour, but the structure. From pics it looks as if the the surface is a bit more grainy on the gen than on the rep. Piratedzeus noticed this in a thread a few days ago, but I'm still not sure as I didn't noticed it with the gen at the AD. So I will need a new check.
So what about the brass / silver pinion discussion? Have you already seen gens with brass pinions as on the rep? Just curious...
Also Piratedzeus noted in a thread last week that the gen has a more grainy dial. Can you confirm or does it also differ on gens?
Wow, Lani, that's an awesome comparison pic!!! You might have convinced me buying the black version...
And you have to thank Piratedzeus for posting the hi res pic first. But Joyful Collection should be anyone's first choice for finding hi res gen pics.....
Wear it in good health!
