  1. Here's mine. Still a beauty, although I only wear it on special ocassions. Bought it from Angus and recently replaced the dial for the updated version which is less yellowish.
  2. The blue Tag Link Chrono is more accurate than the wrong coloured 'grey' version. Apart from the wrong date font (replacable with standard ETA DW), the only 2 minor flaws in the dial that I know of are the missing lume marks on the inner bezel (white paint instead) and the fonts that are too close to the tick marks of the running seconds subdial. Other than that it's a real beauty and in the top 10 of most accurate reps.
  3. - "Wow, is that real?" - "Uh yeah, I think so. It's ticking and it says it's 12.15...." - "No, I mean is that a real Panerai?" - "Well, it says Panerai, doesn't it.....?" Depending on the situation and person asking I'll tell it's a rep or start another topic In business situations I only wear mid priced gens, because I don't wanna be called out and I don't want my clients to think that I charge them too much. Most of my friends know I'm a watch addict. I've told them I have both gens and reps, but they couldn't care less....
  4. Very nice collection! I would say the Colt and Hamilton are gen. Perhaps the Stealfish too; don't know enough about Breitlings..... I love the 188... does it have a 7753 in it?
  5. One apparent flaw: it looks like the subdials are not recessed as on the gen. But before we start all over again: hxxp://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=70142
  6. Are you sure this isn't a fantasy model?
  7. Very nice combo! Would you care to share with us what strap that is?
  8. Excelent writeup, Andy Shocking how close reps can be.... Wear it well!
  9. @Lello: so did you get any further on this project? Having seen the 250 gen in the flesh I've noticed that the subdials are far more recessed than on the rep. The 7750 rep is better in this respect than the 7753, but still looks like it's not really recessed but just a different part.
  10. I totally agree! Thank you Admin and Mods and keep up the good work
  11. I'll drink to that . But didn't you once told me there was a problem of fitting the rep hands on the 7754?
  12. We guys are terrible, LOL. But the combined 229 as Archibald suggested would be the positive outcome of it all
  13. I think that would be an awesome rep! If you can get the Davidson dial to fit in the standard 229 with the improved cyclops you'd have the best of both worlds. Maybe add a Lello DW, a longer seconds hand and a slightly thicker crown.........
  14. If accuracy is the criterium, yes. But in their own right they still are very nice watches. I own both. Unfortunately, the movement of the 089 died, so now I'm waiting to see if the 088 movement will last longer. If so I'm going to buy a Lello DW and a new PAM104/229 case, which has AR and the better cyclops.
  15. I was just thinking back of this great weekend....
  16. Quiet nice, but too bad the subdial is not recessed like the gen. Although it is a separate dial part, it should be deeper.
  17. Every once in a while a thread like this pops up. We've been through this a long time ago and decided to make it a forum rule not to post topics like this and keep our hobby low profile. No need to go into a lenghty discussion again....
  18. FRIDAY PAM088 on brown TWB croc SATURDAY PAM088 on brown TWB croc again.... @SD4K: I still have good memories wearing your beautiful Heritage on my wrist
  19. Defintely the most romantic wristshot ever Congratulations!!!!!!
  20. And again a missed chance: altough the position of the LSML is corrected, there's now a strange and incorrect space between Swiss and Made.........
  21. Wow, Tourby! I just imagine this to be my wrist . I really love the shape of the case. Very curious to the final dial, the finish of the bezel and the shape of the hands. Is the final dial going to sit as deep as in the pic or closer to the crystal? Are you also working on a date @6 version or would that be too expensive?
  22. Both the minute hand and GMT hand are still wrong. The cyclops seems to be the old version. Too bad since the new PAM164, 104 and 229 have a greatly improved one..... Note that the 7750GMT movement - although not as bad as the sec @6 - can be risky. Unfortunately the added GMT gears are not that good designed. I know from my own experience. 2 broke down within a few months, 1 is still happily alive....
