I've only read the first few posts and will now post my black & white views on watch brands vs. personality before I get biased by the other posts . Rolex: 'Look what I can afford!' Breitling: 'I'm a tough and no-nonsense guy' Omega: 'Yes my dear, that is a SS watch under my tuxedo' Tag Heuer: 'My watch is famous and can be seen in many advertisements' IWC: 'I'm a rational thinking, sophisticated and structured person' Panerai: 'Lifestyle is everything' FM, UN, Cartier: 'I'm different' Breguet, VC, Patek, Chronoswiss, Lange: 'I have an exquisite taste for the finer things in life and I can afford it' Graham: 'When I was young, the other guys always made fun of me. The only way to be 100% certain that you'll get a Swiss ETA is buying a movement from Ofrei or Cousins in an ETA sealed bag. The origin of non sealed 'Swiss' movements - either spare or in a rep - is completely unknown and could be anything from aftermarket Swiss to a cheap Asian copy. So I won't believe any collector who sells 'Swiss', although Eurotimez seems very promising..... On the other hand, most Asian movements are not that bad - especially after they have been serviced.

SUNDAY PAM088 @UBI: Always good to see the Twins back

1. For $100,- you will get a more accurate 088/089 with improved lume, cyclops, datefont and hands. Especially the shape of the GMT hand and the thickness of the minute hand are way more accurate to the gen. Note that the dial color of the 089 is completely off. Also the dial color of the regular 089 rep is not quiet like the gen, but better than the DSN. 2. I've had several bad experiences with 7750-GMT movements, although I think it was more a unserviced 7750 problem than a problem with the added GMT gears. So preventative full servicing of the movements is recommended. 3. The GMT module replaces the day function, so quicksetting the day will move the GMT hand in steps and the GMT hand will fluently run a 24 hour cycle. Please be aware of the current QC issues with DSN. Also check his conditions when your watch gets lost in mail or custms.....

Would be great to be back in the Big A. Haven't been there since 2000 But I'm a bit hesistant to the current severe customs checkups. A few weeks ago it took my friends over 2 hours to get into the US and they searched everything. Not good with a big box full of reps . I don't know how it is for US residence to enter the EU........

A few years ago I visited Prague and stayed at an affordable nice appartement on the main street. Vodka was about EUR 1,- a glass. Food almost for free ouside the touristic areas. And girls..... yeah , girls, . Count me in for a Prague GTG!

Our forums are mainly intended to protect rep buyers from scammers, not to protect gen buyers from being scammed with reps. That's why the hardcore gen lovers don't like us too much and as a consequence we try not to rub it in their face how good our reps are. So whatever Navi posted, he draw unnecessary attention to us.

Only if we are 100% sure that it's the same guy we should do this. Also we should notify RG where he's still an official modder. But we don't need a witch hunt on the wrong person as long as we're not 100% sure......
