  1. gio, thanks for the newoutlet for a damn nice insert. I wish that your your last suggestion would get on the ball. oh well thier loss. also, not to change the topic, but is that the bracelet that came on your ssd, or is it a noob bracelet with polished sides? yours looks totally different that mine, the only reason I ask.
  2. dluddy, that is ultra hot.... I might need to come over and try that jewel on.....
  3. haha thats funny cause the first time I posted that pic in trc someone said the samething...
  4. I love the flat "S" its so SSSSSSSSSSSSSExy
  5. very very nice. I love the gen bracelet. one question about the gen bracelet, on a gen does the underside of the SEL sit that "deep" into the back of the case? not anything anyone would ever see on the wrist, just a simple observation. thank you for posting, and dont sell it... wear it well
  6. ordered a gmt from the group buy. I have not recieved the item, nor has a response been given to my questions conerning a ship date.
  7. Hi Neil, thanks for the reply to some of the comments. It was just what some people needed. I can only speak for myself, but I can say I never assumed that my watch to be here by now. I only hoped that a response would come from you as to if it would be this month, next month, or 6 months before it was sent out. The only reason I asked in the first place is because you stated you were not able to get the watches you thought you were and they happened to be the watch I ordered. The lack of stock is not your fault, I understand the nature of these things. You did let us GMT buyers know that you were not able to source enough pieces, and even went as far as to try and "buy back" a peice from one of the lucky members who did recieve one. Those are the kinds of things that a great supplier does to make his customers happy. You went out of your way to bring us this group buy, and if you ever have another, I woud still participate in a heart beat. You are a good dealer. You source good watches. If something goes south, you make it right. It is why I hold you in such high regard. Please do not hesitate in contacting me with information regarding my order, wether it be good or bad. I am in this with you until the deal is complete. I hope this does not come accross as nagging or complaining, I am just trying to converse with a dealer I trust will make it all right. I hope all is well with you and yours. I look forward to the resolve of this deal, as well as to all of our future dealings. P.S. I want to thank you for any extra gift that may come with my gmt. I do appreciate it.
  8. Hey Neil. Just thought I would ask again, any chance of letting us GMT buyers know if we have had our watches shipped? Thanks in advance...
  9. not to hijack, but tribal that is just the hottest sub... I envy your holes.... thanks for showing us how hot it gets...
  10. nanuq... your jubilees make me so hot for vintage gmt's... I only hope I can someday own such a sexy flat topped red/black jubilee sporting sexy beast... thanks for the pics...
  11. I did mine too a few minutes after the the request. I had thought I put it in... Thanks to bytor for trying to get us all organized and such
  12. still waiting here as well... I am just waiting for Neil to let us GMT buyers know who has had one sent out, and who has not. I believe that good things come to those who wait, I am just curious if my real waiting has begun or not... Neil if you read this, could you let us GMT buyers know what our status is? thanks a million
  13. bytor you know that red/black would love to live on my wrist... the day you get tired of her just let me know. my white faced expII is going to canada to visit a friend soon, ill post pics when she returns.
  14. thanks for the write up. I love that watch....
  15. bytor, that is one of my dream pairs... amazing... thanks for the pic
  16. Neil, I think all the GMT buyers would like to know if they are waiting for a package that may not have been sent yet. Thanks.
  17. @Victoria. I have always been aware of watches. I have been more aware of what the watches I like, being more knowledgable of brands and models, but I am a designer at heart and really look at things for thier design merit, not the name on the face. In boston, I dont get to see many wrists due to long sleeves or coats most of the year. it was a beautiful weather week in fla so lots of short sleeves. I really saw sooooo many rollies, it made me nuts. I saw NO pams while I was there. lots of cartiers on the ladies. my wife thinks I am nuts. but what else is new.
  18. Pic is from my trip last week, taken at the world famous Disney Tommorrowland Indy Speedway. Had 2 people on the trip comment on my UPO, one just said nice watch, one asked if I bought it before or after Casino Royale. The entire time I was on vacation I saw about 10000 black submariners, hundreds of two tone Submariners, and one very sexy vintage gmt. My SSD went with me as well, got a few looks but no comments. I couldnt believe how many Rollies I saw. Really blew my mind...
  19. I listen to Pandora at work, the station I have had on mostly this year is based on the music of Joe Bonamassa. Really makes the day go by.
  20. carlsbad, if you have a spare ssd bracelet, I might have to send you a pm.
  21. @charles-good point. I hope I get a red/blue. (ttk, hint hint hint) I actually like the all black bezel modern gmt best. but for a vintage, red/blue with a jubilee for me
  22. Pizza-man, the photo shows red/blue, not sure if ttk was able to get red/black. but on a positive note, the dial on these is better. bezels are cheap and easy to change, dials not so much
  23. true, true, very good idea I agree. maybe you could get some accessory belts from the engine and make rubber straps from them in all seriousness, they look great, and your workmanship is a sight to see. thanks for the pics.
