  1. I really don't know what to make of this guy. I first contacted him in regards ti his swiss Breitling Blackbird. His pictures indicated that the movement was in fact an asian 7750, and as the Blackbird has seconds at the 3:00 position, a swiss 7750 was an impossibility. After some back and forth with his manufacturer he finally conceded that he had made an error. He also informed me that the Flat Six I was interested in was unavailable. He continued to email me occasionally, asking my opinion on watches that he was considering to offer. He even sent pictures of samples, but the movements never matched what he was talking about. For instance, one was a Cartier Pasha that he said contained an asian 7750. The pics clearly showed some POS asian movement. Now, why was this guy doing this? Later, I noticed that he was offering a Navitimer with swiss 7753 in his sales section. It definitely was the generic asian 7750 modified for a 3-6-9 configuration. At that point I kind of gave up on the guy. Now either this guy was scamming from day one (but why all the dialogue?), or he has been fed a line by some asian supplier, and has now been left holding the bag.
  2. Be aware that the 6-9-12 SS version, commonly referred to as the "Fighters" or "Series Special", is the least accurate of all the Navitimer reps. If you want the 6-9-12, stick to the two tone versions.
  3. On the bright side, I had a couple of emails with Crippler about two weeks ago. On one watch, he said he couldn't get, the other was priced too high to take a chance with him. He understood and thanked me. Now, if he was simply out to scam, I'm sure he would have lowered his price or found the Flat-Six I was looking for.
  4. I saw those. Good value, but I'm not really impressed with the watch.
  5. Two much Time on your hands mate! Congrats
  6. tee hee hee , he said fags come in packs
  7. I believe he is a spokesman for Ritmo Mundo watches. I believe the second last pic is a Ritmo centurion.
  8. Never really got a good look, but the bracelet appears to be very Rolexish
  9. Navi is definitely a rep. The 6 in the date window would be rotated 90
  10. Why wouldn't it? By my estimation 55% likely the amount that Josh has vested in this transaction. You can't pull out mid deal, whether its going well or not.
  11. When returning goods the dealer will give you a valid address, there is really no customs risk in receiving a counterfeit watch. But, when they are sending out, the will not give a valid address for obvious reasons.
  12. You really think Josh or any other dealer is putting a correct return address on their packages? The watch is lost my friend.
  13. Have him ship the watch to a trustworthy member in a neighboring country, then have it forwarded to you. Germany is pretty vigilant in looking closely at incoming pakages from China. Routing it through the UK might be a safer idea. As for Josh not refunding your money, I don't blame him. He has obviously built a "seizure" cost into your cost. If he ships you a second watch he breaks even, if he refunds he loses.
  14. I really have to say that this is the nicest watch I have seen in a very long time. The dial layout and case design are truly unique and done to perfection. This is the only watch on my wish list right now! Congrats on a great looking gen, wear it well!
  15. Thanks for the advice Takashi. I just assumed all epoxies were the same, I'll have to take a closer look. It did pop out after I'd been in the hot tub with it, so that may be the problem. I'm just waiting on a new movement for it, so when it arrives I'll make sure I look for a waterproof epoxy.
  16. I talked to The Zigmeister about this, and he has some kind of removal tool. When I did mine I just tried to pull it out and it sheered off at the case. I just used a drill bit in my dremel to drill it, and the loose piece popped out from the inside pretty quickly. My biggest problem is what kind of glue to use. I've tried epoxy, and its not holding. Not sure if Im using enough glue though.
  17. Nope! It does have something about it though. From the second I saw it I said "I hate this watch". Now that I am seeing more pics I am starting to think I should order one. Must fight the urge. I hate this watch I hate this watch I hate this watch I hate this watch I hate this watch:).
  18. Now that is how a review should be done. Awesome work, thanks for your contribution!
  19. More than likely the terms like "Ultimate" were originated here on the boards. The dealers saw it was successful and ran with it. About a year ago I coined the phrase "Lite" in reference to my asian Planet Ocean which was an exact duplicate of the UPO but with an asian movement. Now I see the term "Lite" applied to every cheap asian version, even if it is lacking sapphire, AR, steel movement holder, antimagnetic cover, etc, etc. Its frustrating to say the least. Just read through the BS, don't be overanxious to buy, and wait for some solid reviews and you will do fine.
  20. I'll soon be writing a guide to Navitimers and Ill explain all of this there. But for now, the "Fighters" or "Series Speciale" is the least accurate of all Navis. Contrary to popular belief its is not just the brushed case that differentiates it from the gen. The case shape is different, the bezel is different, and the crystal is completely wrong. The best Navitimer rep available is actually the Two Tone 6-9-12 version. It is reasonably close to the "Old Navitimer", and has now glaring flaws. Date window aside, I would rank the 3-6-9 version as a close second, and the Fighters edition a distant third.
  21. Thanks for the write up Lanikai, fabulous job and a fabulous watch. Man, I just don't think I could pull off that much watch on my 6.75" wrist though.
  22. Damn Usil thats hot! I never really liked these, but your pic really makes it pop. Glad the bracelet worked out for ya, is it comfortable?
