  1. some guy at customs might be reading this thread so why not pm itsme the best tips instead of posting them?
  2. Great tip , will try this on my 2846 powered 5513 rlx
  3. never thought of using a hairdryer on my watch bracelets, good tip. thanks joe
  4. 1. toothbrush and paste first whole bracelet, to clean of the factory dirt 2. rinse 3. cape cod to get som gen shine into it 4. rinse 5. wiggle the shine into oil bath (example WD40) for 30 min, wear gloves 6. wash bracelet in luke warm water, no soap 7. polish bracelet after it dried with a soft cloth 8. put bracelet back on watch and have a single malt whiskey (no ice)
  5. Errorsafe is driving me crazy too. I've tried several computers at different locations but only get Errorsafe on RWG. Errorsafe is not installed on pc (checked), but offers from Errorsafe to install its crap spyware is offered everytime I log in to RWG. If one sets protection to maximum on IE it overrides Errorsafe but this makes surfing to other webpages harder since no cookies is accepted at all. Is it the ads on RWG that draws Errorsafe in, is the ads worth it? At least for me this Errorsafe will limit my visits to this forum =(
  6. your'e absolutely right. didn't think anyone knew about that Falco
  7. Very nice work, bet you'll be keeping that one forever
  8. you need to sharpen the screwdrivers edge like sharpen a knife, use sandpaper or even better a knife sharpener i have 2 sets that I use, one sharpened for thin slots and one set for when I need to twist real hard (example glued bracelet screws)
  9. watch out for luenfat, ordered datewheel w/ open 6's & 9's (like sellers pic), got closed 6, 9s. Was a nice guy and didn't complain, ordered again and specified OPEN.. got closed
  10. The obvious follow-up question to this is of course... who is this supplier if not CousinsUK?? Its defintely not Ofrei because if they are not rude, slow to ship or loose items mysteriously between their office and my customs they most ceratinly don't have a good genuine rolex parts selection Please be a sport and tell me/us your source
  11. I really like this watch, very very nice! Rarely see these types of non-cg frankens and it sort of sticks out from the mainstream rlx vintages crowd
  12. Before making a disaster of things I thought of posting here Rlx 1570 hands wont fit 2846 ETA's so does anyone now how to "make them" fit? It's for a 1655 Explorer II McQueen, so the hands are relatively thick. My plan is to cut 1570 and 2846 hands where the hand circle meets the hand arm and solder them together Soldering will be done on the back of the hands. Anybody tried this or something else to put 1570 hands on an 28xx movement? Any advice is very appreciated

Stunning watches the post deserved to be awakened from the dead
  14. very nice did you just glue the datewheel on or did you have to thin it or raise the movement ring under dial a bit?
  15. Nice watch. Anybody know what dial paint palp uses? Ochre acrylic mix?
  16. except that MBW dials have slightly thicker font, one thing that strike me in comparison to gen dials is that the gen vintage dials somtimes have a tiny Tritium smear around lume markers due to tritium dissolves with heat and age onto the dial
  17. Get rid of spectators and clean the entire floor with a wet white cloth it'll be there (if its not in the sofa)
  18. choose whatever you feel you'd like to wear everyday, maybe white is more discreet? wouldn't sell extra parts unless you realy need the money since you never know what you could end up do with them
