JEEEEEEEEEEWIZ Everything oem but the mid case/caseback and redone dial oui? I need to bump this up to the front of my to do list!

Not terribly fond of the non-Eon-produced Thunderball remake, but to each his own Back on topic - After commenting earlier that the initial batch of dials would be my first and last, I have decided to produce ONE more, totally redesigned set of Vintage rolex dials. These will be perfect if you’re building a super-franken. Just a few of the improvements: MUCH thinner fonts Redesigned from the ground up for even more accuracy GEN plates I have already sold a few, but this marks the first time they will be available for RWG members' to purchase. Dials available: 1665 Comex 5517 Military 5514 Comex 5513 concept/proto (don’t think these were ever “officially” released) 1665 SINGLE red sea dweller (the real reason I decided to do one more batch) As I don’t intend for this to be a sales thread, just a project update, please check the parts/tools section for more info + price.

MBW cases pop up in the sales forums from time to time. You could also purchase an MBW (as a complete watch) from Reg over on RWI. He doesn't source individual parts, but he can grab you an MBW 5513.

You just did

I emailed him a couple months ago. Didn't end up getting them since I found a nice deal on a gen crown + tube

Hey everyone, thought I'd start a new thread as the previous two were getting a bit cluttered. Dials arrived today! I would have taken more pictures, but I only have a crappy iphone camera to work with atm. First thoughts: I'm amazed at the level of consistency in regards QC. No dials have any discernible print problems - everything looks crisp as it should. I will be setting up a post in the "parts" section, as I have more dials from this batch available. While I'm extremely happy with the outcome of this batch, I will not be doing another run (so please don't ask me). I want to thank all of the preorderer's on rwg that made this possible. If it wasn't for you, this wouldn't have ever picked up steam! Also, big shout out to aero dave for spearheading the preordering

EU Based Case Re-Engraving Services- Any interest?
whoopy12 replied to denimhead's topic in The Rolex Area
Yes, yes, and yes! I've been collecting a bunch of macros for a similar project - give me a shout if you'd like to collaborate on creating these fonts -
Update: Dials are done! My source will be shipping them to me in 2 packages over the next week. Crossing my fingers they'll make their way through customs! Will post another update as soon as they arrive - Whoop

Hey everyone - Again, apologies for the wait: I expected to have the dials in my hands by now, but alas. Last contact I had was two days ago, where I was told that the dials would be finished "really soon". At this point, while I do want to get the dials asap, I also don't want to have any mishaps with the supplier (like highhoey did with his case project). I've decided to let my contact "do his thing", while requesting a weekly update. The next update I want to post on this thread will include pictures of the dials on my workbench! Until then - hang tight guys!

Hand options: http://www.rafflestime.com/servlet/the-907/Submariner-Milsub-Seamaster-300%C2%A0Watch/Detail http://www.ebay.com/itm/Omega-Seamaster-300-Diver-Sword-Hands-166-024-165-014-165-024-/141019456240?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20d56a22f0 As for dials: Yuki and NDT both have 5517 dials that fit 1570 movements I'm also offering a 5517 ETA dial here: http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/160148-whoopys-dial-project-preorder-list/page-5 But, as woof mentioned, if you know your budget, you'll have a better idea of which parts to use. Cartel 5517 project is in the $200 - $300 range Yuki 5517 project $700 - 1000 Phong 5517 $1600 + Quite a difference!

Don't movements still have serial numbers (where year manufactured can be deduced from)?
-
Also, what watch box do you have? I've found a similar one, but only with gold hardware (I prefer silver, like yours).
-
That AP Diver looks great! Did you get the bezel numbers relumed?

Means a lot coming from the case-master himself! - Thanks MEGA UPDATE - Update #10 Just received a bunch more pictures of the dials. My source told me the employee in charge of lining up films (to ensure that the dials are properly printed) is getting frustrated because of the amount of reprinting in this project Thankfully, I found an intermediary who knows how business (specifically in regards to QC) is done in China. "Good enough" is not something he will accept - To be honest, it's absolutely refreshing to work with someone like this - perfectionists unite! The number of dials that will be reprinted is around 10, so I'm hoping the prints will be done asap. Also, a message to you preorderers: THANK YOU for funding this project. It was definitely a risk, and I've learned SO MUCH about the many processes that are essential to the success of a venture like this. I realize that there have been delays, and I apologize for the overall wait - Just know that I want these in my mailbox as much as everyone on here! Enjoy the pictures, shoot me a pm if you guys' have any more questions! - Whoop

Girls, girls you're ALL pretty! Many can vouch for Andrew and Josh as respective dealers, just have patience (I know it's been hard with this ridiculous preorder business) and le watches will appear on your doorsteps soon enough.

Hey all, Does anyone here have a good AP service parts hookup? I'm specifically looking for an offshore diver short rubber strap - have had no luck from my local AD's so far.
