  1. I know that the regular Omega's crystals are 30.5mm and 2mm thick. Does anyone know the measurements for the 45mm Planet Ocean?
  2. All in all, I like the fact that they finally made a better pearl for this insert. If I get another Black Seamaster 2254, I am defintely targeting this insert.
  3. Use the search functionality as well as read By-Tor's guide to Omegas......hope that helps
  4. Thanks Cheif ! I like the crystal that I have - nice and thick. I may just get a new cyclops either from ofrei or from krysworks. Once Vac has finiished fixing the gen tube, I will post some pics and welcome everyone's feedback.
  5. Thanks cheif...do you know what is the correct size of the magnifier? I see that Ofrie has some: Magnifiers
  6. Been wearing my modded SMP 2531 for the past few days....
  7. Not too sure about the 45mm PO version, but did read a thread where someone tried to install the gen bezel on the 42mm and had issues.
  8. Thanks Rep....after spending alot of time and money doing mods on this watch, I just didn't want to be left with having a crap date mag...
  9. Any suggestions? Maybe get a cyclops with only 2x mag instead of 2.5x?
  10. I know Ofrei and Krysworks sell cyclopses relatively cheap and thought about replacing just the cyclops. As for the rehault, the rehault on my MBW is pretty deep. What do you think?
  11. Tribal-correct. Some say that my MBW date mag is more like 3x instead of 2.5x. I have vac doing some mods for me and will let me know, by doing a sub comparison, whether or not my date mag is correct. Anyone has a nice spare MBW crystal with the correct 2.5x mag?
  12. Is it possible to swap and install a noob crystal on a MBW case?
  13. Yep, you got the 44mm no doubt. Great choice....just wish I had the 44mm instead of the 42mm.
  14. Found a quick reference....in 2005, Breitling revised their SuperOcean with a new dial. Then, in 2006, they introduced their 44mm version calling it X-Plus. The link below shows the blue dial, but I have the Ivory dial. Breitling SuperOcean 42mm
  15. Wish i had a pic with me, but I don't. My dial looks exactly like the 44mm. I know that they advertised two watches - Superocean Steelfish and Superocean Steelfish X-Plus. I would think that the 44mm is the X-Plus version. I'm not a Breitling expert....so I could be wrong....
  16. Awesome choice....I bought the Ivory version off of Timezone for a great price, only to find that it wasn't the 45m version, but the 42 version. I did use the rep brown strap with the watch (until I can afford a gen leather strap) and looks awesome !
  17. Last time i was in NYC, the only breits they had were the big Bentleys....and yes, I agree, 90% of Canal Street is crap....finding a good rep is like finding a needle in the haystack.....
  18. I guess we have to start watermarking our pics, huh? But if he's stealing your pics, he had to be a member of one of the boards at one time......
  19. So, here I am in the office today on this bright and sunny Saturday afternoon and decided to take a break and browse the 'bay and then ioffer. I love the ridiculous prices on ioffer. Well, while browsing Ioffer, I noticed that a seller selling an Omega GMT had some kick-ass pics of the watch. Here I am thinking, where have I seen these pics before? HERE, that's where ! These are By-Tor's pics. Omega GMT with By-Tor's Pics The funny part is, when reading his description, he states, :Actual pictures were taken by myself.: The only way he could have used By-Tor's pics was being logged in, right? That means, he had to be a member at one time or another. Hmmm........
  20. For tonight's b-b-q, going with my Ultimate Seamaster
  21. Unbelievable Crappy PO
  22. But for an Omega, where you can a used one under $1k, is it worth spending another $200 for the bezel just to get the insert, more or less the pearl? I heard that the gen bezels, again from what i have heard, don't exactly fit the rep case. For the Bond Seamasters, try getting an insert that is used on the SMP Chronograph, since that has the closest look to a gen pearl.
  23. Yes, unfortunately, you would have to buy the entire bezel to get a gen insert. Every once in a while someone on ebay is selling a gen bezel and/or insert......
  24. BTW - If you look at the pics, the clasp displays SPEEDMASTER instead of SEAMASTER........
  25. Does anyone now whether or not, at one time or another, if the 3313 movement was repped at one time?
