  1. I just ordered a custom 36mm datejust i from Andrew. I was browsing the fleabay when I saw some used gen 36mm white gold (I think it's aftermarket) fluted bezels. I was wondering how the replica 36mm datejust i cases are constructed. I know the newer gen Rolex datejusts use a much more complicated design for the bezels to discourage aftermarket bezel replacements. My question is, do I just need a small pocket knife and a crystal press to do the job? Or is it much more complicated? I really want to replace my stainless steel bezel with white gold. Thank you in advance!
  2. Hey guys, I'm wondering if there is a compiled list of replica jewelry sellers. I know some replica watch TDs sell replica jewelry as well but I'm looking for a dealer that sells just replica jewelry. I'm looking specifically for two kind of rings. Not sure if they're repped yet. Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore ring Patek Aquanaut Luce ring I've asked Puretime about the Luce which he has listed but he has yet to respond.
  3. I got it from Tony. I don't think he's a trusted dear here but he is on RWI.
  4. Grr...it went through sorting five days ago yet it still hasn't reached the United States. Should I be worried?
  5. I just ordered a 42mm Seamaster Planet Ocean Ultimate. It looks fine to be but I want second opinions on QC. What do you guys think?
  6. I solved the problem! Advance the date to one day before current. Set the GMT at the hour you want relative to the hour hand. Then advance the time one day to the current time and it will fix it!
  7. Hey guys, I bought a PAM 029 with an A2836 GMT movement and my GMT hand seems to have stopped working. Is there anyone here on the forums able to service/repair it? Date wheel is working fine, and the watch still ticks. The GMT hand advances when I set the time. It does not seem to advance on its own under normal operation.
  8. http://www.ebay.com/itm/24mm-Super-Engineer-Solid-Stainless-Steel-Curve-End-Watch-Band-Deployant-Clasp-/200806965451?_trksid=p5197.m1992&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D14%26meid%3D2253779833274488342%26pid%3D100015%26prg%3D1006%26rk%3D1%26sd%3D200806965451%26 would this work?
  9. Does anyone know where I can get a curved end links steel bracelet for my 005 NV rep?
  10. I really liked the styling of the brown croco strap that came with my 029, but I kind of wondered what it would look like with a bracelet. Hopped onto eBay and today a polished bracelet arrived. I like it!
  11. Hey Cats, could you explain the process in removing the outer AR coating? What kind of materials would I need?
  12. The mailman brought a package to my doorstep and what do you know? It's the 029 GMT that I ordered! I was browsing the forums and I noticed there wasn't a lot (comparatively to say, the 111 reps) of posts about the 029, so I thought I'd contribute. first impressions: -The 029 is my second PAM rep and since it shares the same dimensions as my 005NV, it fits nicely on my 6.5" wrist (I have a flat wrist, this may not work with person with a rounder wrist). -That tuxedo design really gives the dial a whole 'nother dimension. In certain lights, the dial looks like a simple black face, then as you gradually turn the dial so that it's directly exposed to light, the tuxedo design really comes out. Reminds me of my second cousin's Gen Green Sub. It certain light, the dial looked black, and under bright light it was obviously green. -I like the date magnifier much more on the 029 then on Sub Reps. I find that dust collects easily on the date cyclops on Sub Reps and since the magnifier is located below the sapphire glass, it's much easier to clean the glass. some things i would like to know about -I have the Asian 2836 movement inside this guy. When I pushed the crown back in to set the GMT hand, it jumped counter-clockwise about a minute or two. Has anyone else had this experience? -I read that the Asian 2836 movement's GMT modification jumps from hour to hour, but mine doesn't do that. Has any of you 029 owners with Asian 2836 movements seen this before?
  13. Hey guys, I have a few reps now and I've been looking into getting a Rolex Day-Date II Rep. I was wondering for those of you who own them, which ones are the most accurate to their genuine counterpart out of the box?
  14. Hey guys, I just received my Noob Factory PAM005 in the mail and I wanted to do a first impression review of this watch! As with my review of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Jumbo SS/SS White, I'm reviewing this rep not on the basis of accuracy compared to the gen, but just as a watch on its own. Two weeks previous, I booked my flight for an overseas trip to visit my mother. I thought to myself Hmmm, what watch should I wear while overseas? (It appears that I seem to purchase watches whenever there's an upcoming event in my life ). So I looked around for a while and decided to get a Panerai! I hopped onto Andrew's website and placed an order for a Noob 005. The Panerai 005 features a 44mm dial featuring sapphire crystal on a stainless steel case. At 15mm in thickness, this is not a small watch! With the leather strap in place, the watch weighs in at approximately 147.75 grams (or 5/16th of a pound). The watch is hefty and if my 6.5" wrist wasn't as flat as it is, I don't think I could wear this watch! As I wrote in my Royal Oak Jumbo review, I'm a big fan of simple faces and the 005 is not an exception. The dial is uncluttered with hands indicating hour and minutes, with a sub-dial at the 9 o'clock position with a small hand indicating seconds. The watch utilizes a Asian 6497 Unitas hand wind movement. I've noticed that this watch is loud relatively to my other reps. The 005 features a solid case back featuring Panerai's logo and engraved with other affects referencing Panerai's Italian roots (Firenze 1860! [Florence 1860]). When I ordered this watch, I assumed it would be engraved with an M serial however it actually came with an N serial. The Luminor Marina (along with several other lines of Panerai) are designed with a very unique crown guard. This crown guard is composed of brushed steel unlike the polished steel of the rest of the case front. The lume is one of the best features of this watch. It is bright with a green tint and this pictures does the brightness no justice. Like I said previously, I have a small wrist however I don't feel it looks odd since my wrist is flat (do I have chicken wrists o.0?). The screw bars are easily removable using a small slot-type screw driver which makes the watch easily wearing dressed up or dressed down. My 005 next to my Aviator World Cities. Final Thoughts: I'm beginning to understand why Paneristis are fans of the brand and I don't think this will be my last Panerai rep that I purchase. Before I go back to University in September, I will probably pick up a PAM 029 GMT I hope guys enjoyed my first impression review. Happy Collecting!
  15. Has anyone tried fitting a stainless steel band (or ever thought of for that matter) on those wide 26mm lugs?
  16. Haha yes, I noticed that issue last night along with some of the front screws that weren't properly in their sockets. Took my screw diver set out and fixed it!
  17. I was looking around the web and I found a picture of a Patek Phillipe Nautilus. Am I correct to assume that this is a blue dial, rose gold, on leather or is the sun playing tricks on the camera and it's a grey dial?
  18. Do either of you gentlemen know whether the exhibition case back is made of mineral or sapphire?
  19. A few weeks ago, I was looking at the calender application on my iPhone and I said to myself, Well, it looks like I have a birthday party on the waterfront to attend on June 2nd. What kind of clothing should I wear? More importantly, what watch should I wear to go with that clothing? Should I go with my Sturmanskie Gagarin, or my Submariner Rep, or even my Planet Ocean Rep? Hmmm...it seems that I've worn these on outings far too often with my college friends, so why not try something new? That's when I hopped onto Andrew's site and looked around and what caught my eye was the Audemars Piguet Jumbo White on Stainless Steel. I originally planned to get the White Dial on Rose Gold with a leather band but Andrew emailed me back telling me that the factory was out. I won't pretend that I know a lot about Audemars Piguet's history, or how this replica is accurate in comparison to the genuine watch (I leave that up to you guys ), because I honestly don't. What I can give you guys is my thoughts on this watch as someone who loves to wear watches. The Royal Oak Jumbo White on Stainless Steel Replica has a 39mm dial featuring sapphire crystal glass on a stainless steel bezel. The thickness of the dial comes in around 9mm making this a slim profile watch. When fitted for my 6.5 inch wrist, the watch weighs approximately 4/10 of a pound (about 181 grams). The watch is not heavy on the wrist but maintains a feeling of solidity due to it's small size. The face is decorated with a square tapasserie pattern adorned with stick markers and slim hands. I like simple watch faces and this is one of the best I've seen. It's easily readable at even an almost 180 degree angle from my eyes despite the flat crystal. The watch features an exhibition case back showcasing a Swiss ETA 2824-2 automatic movement with an Audemars Piguet logo embellished on the rotor. It is interesting to note that the exhibition case back has a higher pitch sound when tapped comparative to the front glass however it is not as high pitched as some of my other watches with mineral glass. I am unsure as to whether the exhibition case back glass is sapphire or not as I have not conducted a water droplet test. My watch has gained approximately +2 seconds/day in the time that this replica has been in my possession. The deployant clasp is shown above. The clasp is two sided and it requires the 12 o'clock side to be pushed in before the 6 o'lock. The clasp in the closed position. I remember I was told by a jeweler when I was younger that if I was push down on the tab before placing the ball into the clasping mechanism, it prevents damage to the clasp, however I find this much more difficult to do with a two sider. Perhaps this is because this sort of clasping mechanism is entirely new to me. If you are to close the clasp entirely and set the watch down on a table, this is what happens. If you're going to store this watch in something other than a watch winder when you're not wearing it, it will take up more room than it needs. I find that this watch is easily wearable no matter if you are dressing up or dressing down. The royal oak jumbo may be a sports watch but I find the hexagonal shape to be a compliment tucked under a long sleeved work shirt or a dress shirt. It even looks nice while you wear short sleeves too (shown above)! My jumbo next to my sub! Final thoughts? I've already received a few comments from onlookers on my college campus complimenting the watch. I find this watch is more noticeable than the black submariner rep that I own (shown above). Was this a good buy for me? I would like to think so. I'll update you guys later on what the watch's reception is at the party
  20. Alright cool. Do you recommend the Swiss ETA or Asian 25J? All my other reps have Swiss ETA.
