  1. Thank you. Which would disturb me is that some of my pics would catch someone's attention and be decisive to get a rep for 3 times its real cost. But at the end, it's true, those willing to cheat will manage that... No more Watermarking in the future.
  2. Perfect matching on this picture ! I'm so happy you like it... Sophie Marceau's watch on your wrist, that's a perfect matching too...
  3. Excellent and extremely informative review, that's a tough job you did ! What I like in this Breitling is that we can be very close to the gen after simple mods, as the movement is the same as in the gen. (reminds me of the perfection of the SFSO) Thank you for making us discover an other damn good rep.
  4. It's been a while I haven't worn my SFSO... I think it's the first time I shoot it with its leather dress... I would not go back to the bracelet, for sure. BTW, anyone know if Ruby still sell the leather strap for 15 dollars ?
  5. No, I have actually no idea sorry. I usually never use my watches in moisture or water environment. It is honest to confirm that it's not waterproof, but surely gives you a disadvantage on those who does. I tend to believe that this level of replica has a certain waterproofness (gaskets are present).
  6. Thx Watchmark, I must say this Montblanc is particularly well replicated. And it has a fair price level.
  7. They are... Worst is that these terms are not little lies.
  8. That watch is even more sexy with the black dial !
  9. I'm usually not for frames for anything : but for rep sales it makes sense. RWG is the only board (correct me if I'm wrong) which has not formalized the member sales, I mean "strictly". I first thought this might be more comfortable (as it sometimes take a lot of efforts to comply with all the conditions set in RWI for instance). But actually, it would help a lot, especially members who are not used to ask the right questions. We all know that it's not the job of the boards administration to control the sales (these are a service in the forum, not the main purpose). But a stricter frame would not hurt. And it is basically not so difficult to achieve, as we have inspiration from the other boards. Personally, I would feel comfortable if 3 pictures were compulsory : front/back/side. Very simple things, but sometimes we don't have them. Finally anyway, if a member wants to cheat, he will manage, that's for sure. But rules would at least AVOID some misunderstandings. I would be ready if necessary to participate a group in charge of organizing a form or something. That's not a sudden need to rule things, just a suggestion to help if la ack of manpower is existing.
  10. Lanikai, what's your feeling on the bracelet ? Thank you.
  11. I like it too Usil, how's the rubber quality ? Sticky and soft or acceptable ? BTW, how big is it ?
  12. Ufanta is a dealer on iOffer. I don't know him so I won't comment. But his cheap prices also draw my attention in the past. His feedbacks : http://www.ioffer.com/ratings/ufanta
  13. 100% agreed. How many times do we hear "I don't want to put the seller in a bad position, maybe we'll have a good issue" or something... If normal negociations/discussions did not bring the expected results, i.e. the seller (or dealer) must feel threatened to move forward, then he's not worth being protected. It's true, that hurts and harms the hobby. I've been more than hesitating these times to buy from the forum due to this. I was fortunate enough, not to meet the same cases as stated before. Pure luck ?
  14. I agree that any obvious and/or known bug MUST be described and pictured. I would personally never sell something where I know there's a problem, there are enough scammers around. I'm only selling things in a shape and state which I would personally demand from other sellers. And that's the way it should be. Members are not here to recycle broken watches. The board is a nice tool if not THE tool to give a new life to a rep you don't like anymore. It does not mean you can sell any BS. The first step is indeed to discuss with the seller, and without proper answer, the seller should be named (same for dealers) : it seems there's a rule of silence which is not helping avoiding unfriendly members/scammers. I don't like that. Of course, on the opposite, the boards should not be used for small issues or personal confrontations. A broken movement, a missing screw or undeclared ding are real issues. Be strict on that is the only way tokeep the members confident in this way of trading. PS : please stop these everlasting unuseful dramas. Did someone read this ? And especially this These rules are too often spoiled these days
  15. @Lani : really a peculiar watch, that actually looks great ! Unwearable by me and my small wrist... @Victoria : today I'll wear my T-shirt "I love Vacheron Constantin"
  16. I am mainly inspired from the wristshots... Then I look for reviews and sometimes pics of the gen on the manufacturers website. I actually bought only once after having seen a watch in an A.D : that was my Tag Heuer Monza. It never drew my attention on the boards untill I saw the real thing.
  17. Worn this fantasy Vacheron Constantin on ostrich leg strap in the office. Actually that one is inspired by the Tonneau Vacheron Constantin Tourbillon. Any modder for a movement swap ?
  18. Seriously, if this poll is going to affect the way members (including me) have been doing reviews for their pleasure here, I'll keep the right to move from the place. I personally don't agree to be told what and how to do things in what I see as a hobby and pure free contribution to this very board. I won't vote as well : I don't see who is entrusted to organize a poll of this kind, except maybe the boards administration. Any other organization is not legitimate. Enough said.
  19. Congrats to a member with whom it is always a pleasure to discuss with on the boards.
  20. Sure. I was mentionning that to those who'd like to consider rep reviews like other products reviews. BTW, a positive or negative review of a rep should finally not disturb if your real concern is the service of the dealer... Then, back to the original problematic : what advantage does the watch review of Pug give to Angus ?? The only advantages I see are for the rep manufacturers, and all the dealers carrying the model. In this frame, I'm still thinking that these discussions about independancy of "reviewers" are not founded and that I would have done the same as Pug. Those who want to frame the reviews should also frame the dealer's descriptions and habits (behaviour ?) : Mission Impossible.
  21. If one wants to compare the reviewing system with what is done in real life for legitimate products, then we should not even speak about dealers : the system you think about should be done in connection with the rep manufacturers, not with resellers. Unthinkable. I really can't see in what a good or bad model can influence one single dealer, except if he has an exclusivity.
  22. Also...don't forget we're in an illegal hobby... Dealers, manufacturers and habits are not the same as in other hobbies...
