Sunnydale does but he's not Conus. Taka still does but you need 10 xtals. Both are excellent quality.

I've had every crystal you can think of on there including now gen and they all seem to smudge/oil more than any other watch I own. I think it's the black dial in combo with no AR. In contrast I have a couple black dials with crystals that are double AR coated and although they may smudge, one quick wipe and they appear perfect.

There is no doubt at some point it becomes counter productive. There's a gen IWC 3717 dial for sale on one of the other forums for $700 right now and I've been looking for one forever but a like new gen is only $3000 so that just doesn't make sense. However, the quality of the gen parts is just unmatched. The gen PO dial is just so much better it's incredible. To this end spending an extra couple hundred bucks is worth it if you really like the watch. You also learn a ton about watches once you start down that path. That knowledge makes you appreciate the quality of gen even more and you start wanting to Franken more. There's also a lot of satisfaction looking down and knowing you built it.

Yeah, they are fun. They get more compliments than anything you can put on your wrist. However, I don't like wearing mine that often. It becomes a lot to look at sometimes. My family name is Graham so always had my eye on one. Too bad you ordered one, I have an extra I'm going to get rid of. Post some pics when you get yours.

Yes, pretty much everyone who's installed a crystal has because almost all of them install that way. I've done lots.
