To me AR is the most important feature of a watch. I end up getting all my watch crystals redone.

Had the same issue with one of my TC subs. The rotor comes off. I tried reattaching mine several times but it is only press fit and kept coming off. I finally replaced the rotor assembly and haven't had a problem since. It's incredibly easy. Note, if it is the rotor, your watch will eventually stop unless you manually wind it. I happen to be in LA but am not a watchsmith.

Doing some research I found that the very famous Zigmeister had this problem and created a new hand. Unbelievable... Guy was a magician.

I know this is a long shot but I have to give it a try. Does anyone have a spare Ebel BTR counter hand I could purchase? Mine went missing. :-(. I tried hands from a Ebel discovery 911 that I had laying around but they didn't fit. The stem in the BTR counter hands seems to be a little longer. Any thoughts on other replacement options would also be much appreciated. Jedi

TC has been out of the LN dial and hands for a long time now. Consequently, your only choice was the maxi dial and hands. People that wanted a TC but weren't fond of the green had no choice but to get the Maxi dial and hands and use an LN insert.

Wow, love this thread. Because it makes perfect sense that people would pay $200 for a service if all you needed to do was take of the case back and hose down the movement with KY-Jelly!! Opening the back and spraying the movement will absolutely not work even if the spray is made on Krypton. (although I hear that stuff works great on squeaky brakes). Not only will it not work it will further impede the proper functioning of your watch.

I also have them both. The -2 is one of my all time favorites and on the bracelet extremely versatile

This seems like such a joke to me because it's all so unrealistic. The reality of the situation is that the market demand will determine how MD needs to run his business and the 143 posts here giving him advice on how to do it are a waste of time. If MD continues to be one of the only guys with his skill that will do the work at a fair price we will continue to send him out watches even if we don't hear from him for months. TC and Vac are both proof of this. Can we just say enough is enough already. Sorry for your loss MD.

The BTR is legit, you can tell by the sub dial spacing of the seconds subdial. Overlaps the subdial at 6 which the rep does not.

If you got the black one it needs the AR done. The purple AR OTB is terrible with the black dial. (note i think it's not as big a problem with the white dial) I sent mine to Taka and the watch is stunning with his AR.

I used them about 3 months ago. I got my stuff back but took about a month for the AR. I think they do it in "runs". The crystal without the magnifiying lens was done great, the one with was a complete botch job. Big patches of missing AR around the magnifying lens. I'll have to send it back but haven't done so yet.
