  1. "Don't give up. Don't ever give up!" Jimmy V.
  2. SKX007 sandblasted case, incredible Safire crystal with AR and sand blasted Eng II bracelet. Maybe one of my favorite watches of all time. Just so durable, reliable, and manly.
  3. Thanks martijnp. This is the 43mm version not the oversized and I think it wears similar to any similarly sized watch. The chrono trigger is up your wrist not towards your hand so it doesn't interfere. That said, I don't think it's an everyday watch but that's more because of appearance and not because of comfort.
  4. AR is the number one mod for every watch I get. I think it is so important I often try and get the AR mod figured out before I even buy the watch.
  5. I know this watch is either a love or a hate for many people. I saw this and fell in love with it and made an impulse buy. The dial color with the gold color with the strap all just seemed to work. One thing for sure, this watch gets noticed. Certainly not an every day watch but an incredible out on the town watch. Enjoy the pics and feel free to comment.
  6. Well along with Bangla road Patong beach in Phuket has a huge counterfeit street market. I think they've cloned every object in the world. Fun to walk around. Patong beach gardens hotel is a cheap but adequate hotel right on the sand and in the middle of everything. Have fun!
  7. I just installed my TC DWO yesterday. It was my first one and it took a lot of patience. You have to place it and check alignment, and repeat. I got it lined up what I thought was perfect but a small group of dates were left justified. I took it all apart and split the difference by nudging the overlay over and nudging the dial over relative to the movement. Date is centered perfectly now. One thing to think about is how you are going to attach the DWO to the DW. I used four small dots of that sticky putty. It worked great because it is never permanent and allows continuous adjustment but holds strong enough to prevent any slip during normal use. I know others have used slow drying silicon but you better get that one right the first time. Just make sure you go in with lots of patience.
  8. Tiger bar on Bangla road in Phuket is my buying advice. Don't take the misses.
  9. I hated this watch, which is why it became my project watch. I still don't love it but I've learned how to do lots of diff mods because of it. All back together again after new movement and TC DWO install.
  10. My advice would be to go DSSD. I'd also add that the prohunter was the worst rep I've ever owner in terms of quality, which is why I ended up modding it so much.
  11. Case was bead blasted before coating to give it a more military look.
  12. Are you sure? I uploaded best quality and it appears big on my screen.
  13. Here's the one you want. I just finished putting it together. Case PVD coated by Taka. Crystal double AR coated. TC DWO installed.
  14. Just wanted to say thanks to all the people here who have taught me so much. Literally everything I know about watches I've learned here over the past couple years. I bought a sub off another member a while back and he had modded it and left some dust on the dial. It's been annoying me forever so tonight I took it apart, cleaned it, and put it all back together in about an hr. Two years ago I would of had no idea how to even start such a task. I know this is not a complicated task but this is just one of many mods i can now perform flawlessly without much worry. Yes i broke a few keyless to get to this point. So thanks to everyone here. This is truly an amazing knowledge base.
