Congrats Folex, that's a keeper for sure. A future classic Rad if you ask me. Its a nice 'wrist feel' change from the lumis. Get a 292 for stealthy wearing requirements (not J model!) and to keep it company, be rude not to! Wear it well.

A little off subject (Apologies), but below is a short and interesting article about American start up (Detroit based) manufacturing firm...they intend on producing watches as part of their range. Its great to see this kind of local design, craft and manufacturing resurgence stateside. http://www.fastcodes...er=newsletter#1 The company is called Shinola - They have a nice story. http://shinola.com/#our-story

First night with a new aquisition - charge lume, turn out lights, turn to girlfriend, hold wrist up and say: "looooooookkkkk" sounding just like a child seeing glow in the dark for the first time. Bless my love, she always musters the response, "ahhhhh" and "wooooaaahh" just like she's watching a fireworks display. She knows its coming after an hour or two of me verbally pulling said piece apart - specs of dust (cant you see it?) plus other indescrepencies EG asking her opinion on less than mm engineering differences to gen, or virtually non existent typographical misdemeanors. That's love, and I'm not talking about the feelings for my girlfriend.

That's an extract from the watch wearers guide to the galaxy. You surely must have read that legend?

Not judging anyone here but its an interesting subject and I'd have to agree with legend, and add my 10 cents being that if it's your nearest and dearest, then chances are you know about each others collections in detail and geek out together. If not, best to sit in quiet wonder, or simply take another tactic and find an opportunity to raise the subject of watches per se, then perhaps the conversation will move towards rep. If the watch wearer in question admits, or indicates a rep awareness - then low and behold you have a new buddy. Also best to do that in private if the moment arises, to avoid embarrassment for yourself and the watch wearer. If the subject of reps doesnt arise, be safe in your own awereness and knowledge. Because after all thats really what this is all about.

If it makes you smile, your good to go.

Mine too! Plus I couldn't agree more, strap on, away you go....

Tried this on in the AD this afternoon - guys it's simply beautiful in person. For the price I'm tempted to blow my 2013 budget on the real thing. A very special piece indeed. A must have for any vintage fans.

This is the most exciting rep development I've heard about in a while! Will speak with Toro next time i see him for any additional info, and report back.

She's totally OTB standard. Strap wise, Ive been working on sourcing a variety of different straps out here in China, this is a one of the more interesting samples for sure. Cheers.

Pls Be Careful When Oerdering From PureTime Watches
Archetypal replied to rogersk8ter's topic in General Discussion
Although its taking its time, please be patient. If nothing arrives within 4 weeks take it up with PT then. In some cases the post out of China has been slow to get back up to speed after the recent National holiday. It took two weeks for a parcel to get to me in Shanghai, sent from Taiwan. -

Congratulations R, your average weekly post count puts many of us new lot to shame...great work.

I'm with you Storm, a little different and why not. The yellow and red dial RAD on deep weave nato is the one...they rep the bamford and the pro hunters, therefore nothing stopping these boys being done, that is if they turn out to be popular and get some press. Cool though.
