  1. Marty, great tone in your write up - thanks for sharing. I share your sentiments exactly. I'm also very fond of my copy. Finally, fantastic as is - If they do update this - it's going to be killer. Cheers Arch.
  2. Great dial and great skill. Thanks for sharing, she's a beaut.
  3. Im with you - thats bloody awesome. You know my feelings on Steinhart.... they've 'developed' some of the best most iconic designs, coming up with great quality affordable alternatives, true QC and general peace of mind for the buyer. Personally im still looking for the ocean vintage military in PVD - Anyone got one and wants to sell it - PM me!
  4. This is the smartest piece of advice yet. I entered site:rwgforum.net ssd in google and it un earthered all sorts of threads I'd missed during my Sea Dweller research. Thanks jpz.
  5. Also for those new to the concept of web based information searching.....try putting your search terminology (...who has the best sub...) through one of the internet's search engines (Add RWG to the search term remember!!!) It may re-awaken threads from the deep. Should I of started a new thread about this?
  6. I like it too. Thanks for sharing.
  7. The 1940 42mm 512 looks like a nice dressy piece..The p999 being the slimmest panerai mechanics... It's got a 372 air about it minus CG's but similar sandwich dial vintage Lume, etc. Loving the new 'hybrid' PAMS. Luminor finally mates with Radomir...
  8. Another Mel special in manufacture. Smart work from a true pam-hobby-ist. Looking froward to updates on this, the project we can surely dub the 'wearable monster'.... Thanks for sharing.
  9. Thanks for sharing a tidy collection you have there.
  10. Amazing hunter gathering and un covering such special and well cared for components. A master at work. Thanks so much for sharing these images. Inspired.
  11. With you all the way on that one. Love my 386 - really stands out as different in my collection. 351 is calling.
  12. Yeah thats cool, a little like the Ferrari models only stealthier.
  13. Super tight collection with integrity.
  14. Cool story by the way, a very accurate description of the type of experience you are bound to have at these places...eventually you will find several vendors with forum grade watches, they may well have rejects or old models from the same factories the TD use. But these guys are rare. Few vendors stock up on the higher grade reps as 1. they are too costly in purchase for the vendor and 2. the majority of punters won't ever spend the sort of dosh required. The average guy wants a 50 buck rep. And that's what they stock....cheap as chips. At least this is what I've learnt from the Shanghai markets. Stick to the TD's all the way. Although the markets are a lot of fun.
  15. As a side note, but on topic - if anyone ever anyone comes to Shanghai, drop me a PM as there are a few ways I can get forum grade reps, often over night. For those that don't know I live in Shanghai and yes it gets expensive on the watch wallet. Cheers, Arch.
  16. Welcome. It's a dark power you are now under.
