  1. JJ really does love the details doesn't he. I'd love him to share his personal collection one day.
  2. I've braved the PO v5 and the BP SD, both scuba diving down to 30m, no pressure test. I worked on promise from the dealers, so they may have done a test before shipping. The only issue I had was the spring bars on the PO rusted! Easy fix. Both pieces got dinged up on rocks nicely and hold great holiday memories. Enjoy the trip.
  3. Cheers Jkay and thanks for all the comments fella's. I thought you would appreciate the result, who doesn't like a nice patina. You can be a tough crowd, but thats RWG and part of why we are here. The biggest on the wrist tell is of course the high beat 'swiss' movement, however it is running like a charm. JJ and I shared views on how to craft my desired on the wrist look, and for a modern Nah Piek MBK stock piece that has been aged and detail tweaked i feel its a marvel. I may of got lucky with the make up of my piece as the Nah Piek guys are a little all over the shop (putting it politely - Highoey probably knows this better than anyone). Saying that the bracelet it came with (in the JJ photos) is more than questionable. The end links I ended up on are from the Josh 5513. This was an exercise in craft and attention to detail and JJ is really quite the artisan in this respect, as we all know by now. What I have is an affordable satisfying foundation which I can enjoy now and build upon as I please.
  4. I require anti glare for my riding and you can even get them with functioning polarised lenses. They are a walk in purchase all over the markets in Shanghai. And cheap too.
  5. Loved the film. Another great Caprio as Scorsese's muse. Gangs of New York, The aviator, the Departed, shutter island, and this - all excellent IMO. The watches are very well cast too...
  6. Sorry whoopy, didn't mean to call you whoppy.
  7. I've got a whoppy dial in my jmb cased 1016. No issues to note.
  8. This one is purely cosmetic. JJ worked his magic as always, and I was quite specific with my desired look - the results do not disappoint. This was a planned walk in purchase on a summer trip to Bangkok (Brothers stag do) so lots of memories tied up in the piece. I have not had the time to photograph myself but was desperate to share the joy plus JJ's rolex angles and lighting probably cant be beaten. Anyway enough chatter here's the porn, enjoy. And finally a wristy on the 7836 from WI. Cheers, Arch.
  9. http://www.ttw888.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_4&products_id=11628 Not noob. But I'd love to see this one in the flesh...
  10. I actually checked this and the answer is no. I was informed its a small maker whom largely deals in vintage Rolex pieces.
  11. Black bay. Although finally pulling together my 1016 and 5513 has to be a close second (pics to come - too busy for words lately). 2013 was a good vintage in my collection... ...Excuse the pun.
  12. I've got to say my mk2 bracelet micro adjustment works like a charm. Press the iwc logo on the outside of the clasp and away she adjusts. Smooth and sturdy.
  13. Sending watches domestically within China is fine. I live in Shanghai and have recieved packages from most of the major TD's, never once had issue. I've used quite a few different domestic carriers - the longest it has taken is 3 days, quickest has been next day. Dangerous!
  14. Sounds monumental Mike. Great effort and have a blast guys. Look forward to the many, many wristies...
  15. I bagged the 02 recently. A must have in any mans collection whom is blessed with sufficient wrists to pull one off. An absolute classic piece, congrats on the purchase and obvious joy she is bringing you bro.
  16. Nice work, you'd sell a bunch of these if you turned them out for folk. Especially with big D off on his travels...
  17. See below link for some BB drool. Not my shots I hasten to add, although I can now admit owning the genuine article. Its a thing of beauty and after a year of hankering for her, I couldn't pass up the deal I was offered or wait for the bloody rep any longer. The BB really is fantastic value - fit, finish and detail are stunning. Movement aside of course, which is a decorated 2824 - although naturally service costs will be another sweetener. Heres the porn http://www.watchwallpapers.com/tbbreve.htm Heres the wrist Cheers.
