  1. Never say never to the slight heft of the classic SD! Good luck, I'm sure your bud will be over the moon.
  2. Yep, Andrew deals in BP rolex models. I sourced mine from him. Good luck, you and your bud won't be disappointed. I'd order two though, you may get envious...

  4. 200 page thread on RWI below...the classic BP SD is arguably the TC of the SD world. And it's very very affordable. I have both the V6 and the BPSD, I can vouch for it's quality and value. You can even install the TC SD dial, handset and bracelet. But it is that little bit more chunky on the wrist than the 16610, of course. http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php?t=141721
  5. You could suggest the BP classic Seadweller, it really is a marvel OTB, leagues better than any 'cheap' 16610.
  6. Great project, the very best of luck with it. Looking like it's shaping up well.
  7. Toro is of course the way to go, but the market is a good experience.
  8. The best replica goods market is located on West Nanjing road crossed with Chengdu road. It's a bit hit or miss in terms of quality but you can find some reasonable pieces if you spend time and visit lots of dealers. Always push to see the good stuff. You won't find the quality and variety of our TD pieces, that's for sure. Plus the prices vary massively. Expect to pay in the region of 1500rmb for the best pieces they have. You can get ANYTHING here. Worth the visit even if the watches are not up to par. Try out the beats headphones - the build and sound quality of the top ones (400 rmb) is quite unbelievable. http://www.timeoutshanghai.com/venue/Shops__Services-Markets/715/Nanjing-Xi-Lu-Fake-Market.html http://gochina.about.com/od/shoppinginshanghai/p/Shanghais-Fake-Market-At-580-Nanjing-West-Road.htm
  9. I very nearly pulled the trigger on the earlier orange version. Starting to rethink that plan! Great watch, love the freshness of that colour pop. Thanks for sharing.
  10. Brit living in Shanghai, partner from HK plus my agency has studio there, so lucky me I get to frequent. Been enjoying CNY with her family. They love a nice watch in HK!
  11. That is an epic deal big D. If the watch you are after is 'last season' for instance, you can grab some silly deals over here.
  12. Following in nightwatch and whoever's footsteps and feeling inspired I bagged a killer deal on the Pepsi SKX009. Got the gen rubber strap thrown in the deal! 160usd all in. Cracking watch, superb value. Definitely needs a shark mesh in the future. A watch collection just isn't complete without some seikos in it.
  13. I'm not sure if Hong Kong is an option for you Mike but it's obviously a tax haven plus you can always negotiate at least 10% off marked. I'm not near my receipt right now but on a walk in purchase I paid in the region of 2700 usd for the bracelet version, from an AD (not a tudor brand store).
  14. I am lucky enough to have met T in person on numerous occasions. He's a super nice, knowledgable guy, runs a tight operation, always stands by his watches and has been in the game for years. He also shared a shanghai based watchsmith with me who has never let me down either, on the contrary takes on anything and is amazingly affordable.
  15. From what I know from my own search for gen parts, and talking to tudor directly, they operate a one in one out parts, rolex principle. I believe I have to present my gen to be able to order, even the leather band for instance.
  16. I'm not sure that using your email address (if it is real) as your forum handle is a good move!
  17. TC V6 on pro hunter PVD grey/blue NATO.
  18. Speaking as a gen owner, the gen has a rolex level of detail execution for a fraction of the price. Perfect engineering throughout (bar fairly standard movement). Hard to replicate these very precise minute details, of course. The gen is worth the money if you have surplus cash, but the rep looks like a brilliant attempt and would probably satisfy ones BB itch at a fraction of the price.
  19. I'd be interested to hear if anyone has one of these? I enquired about the new stealth explorer 2 and was told it's from a factory that makes vintage rolex, not noob.
  20. Yes Mary and Rochest, really helpful TD's just send them a request and usually they can get what you want, generally at marked down rates compared with the bigger players.
