  1. Recieved mine today from Toro (swiss) and it is by far the most accurate version ive seen to date. Annoyingly there are issues with Lume application on some of the white dial versions (noob QC issues) and an over shiny dial on the black. The SEL fit on mine is acceptable, the bracelet is beautiful, particularly after oiling, it's like butter. Lume great, bezel font ok, crystal and cyclops clear and sharp. I'm away for a few days but promise a decent photoshoot ASAP.

  3. Haha...nice return! Great flicks BTW. What a job...
  4. I find the new product prototyping and sign off process, even being on the ground in the same country as the producer, always ends in being time consuming, long winded with unexpected hurdles. Id imagine being overseas away from the factory presents a real challenge. Good luck and we are all patiently waiting and rooting for you on this epic development.
  5. A lot of truth, and an age old argument resurfacing regarding labour applied verses labour paid for - worked out in end RRP point. Both ways, gen or rep, watches are never fair game, someone involved in the process gets a bum deal.
  6. Cool and unique, wear her well bud.
  7. I got one understanding this issue. Overall a stunner, obviously the flaw is evident and annoying. I figured i can grab a new dial once they sort it. But either way, it's scary well made this one.
  8. I'm hoping to grab one from Toro as soon as he has them in town, I will aim to review it with detailed photos ASAP.
  9. I just read the entire thread back to back, and no matter how old, it really is a fairytale story. There are some seriously nice guys around these parts.
  10. I have the DLC version too, I love it that much. Versatile piece no doubt!
  11. @martijnp - Thanks, I bought my 386 from a local dealer in Shanghai, although I'm certian its the version 1.1 that you can source from several of our T.D's. @sgtguk - Thanks friend! Although they never made a "1-1" of the 500114, the rep is a nice dress watch in its own right, even with the obvious flaws. @relaxman - Cheers, next session I will take a shot of the set up. Its simple, a dark room and a combo of white paper, tracing paper, desk lamps and a translucent box plus lots of experimenting.
  12. The collection has grown over the past couple of years (funny that...) so I thought it about time to combine a couple of my hobbies and photograph a few of the favs. I set up a cheap as chips light box to diffuse as best I could. Lots of room for improvement, but Im happy in capturing the beauty I see in the pieces. I intend to add to this thread over time, but for now this is a cross section of the type of watches I enjoy. Love to hear your comments. Cheers, Arch. 3717 500114 114060 116400GV 386 127 390 3646
  13. Thrice Nice - Please divulge the purchase details....
  14. Version 5 is simply one of the best reps. A few simple mods and for under 1000 dollars you have as good as gen Franken. I love mine. The sporty casual look is welcome rest from PAMS and Rolex, a perfect mix it up watch. I took her on weeks Scuba diving with depths of up to 3ATM, without a problem, make sure you replace the spring bars with some stainless beefy ones first though.
  15. Congrats! You have to post a wrist shot once she arrives. As many have said Toro is one of the best, so a good start for your collection!
  16. In such a fast paced digital and changing world it's great to respect the precision and timeless beauty of the mechanical wristwatch. We all share that joy. Great story!
  17. Yeah a real cracker, wear it well! P.S If you ever want to move it on, PM me.....
  18. Great variety, shows the 390's versatility credentials very well. I could nearly smell the leather scrolling down the post! Nice work.
  19. That 61D is a looker. Boy you got the bug! You cant beat that fresh out the ziplock bag feeling!
  20. Noob and N are one and the same. H factory is different. The two of these factories are famed for producing amongst the highest grade replica watches in the marketplace, so you are in safe hands. And Toro is a great dealer so again looking good.
