  1. Not sure if it's supposed to be like that, butt he date is aligned to the right...
  2. Bit pricey, but lovely: http://s296.beta.photobucket.com/user/dangerousjohn/library/New%20Watch%20Straps/Dangerous9straps%202012/July%202012%20straps/Vincenzos%20Black%20Ostrich%20for%20Omega%20Speedy
  3. Wow! mind sharing how that happened?? Some TD's offer shipping to the UK first, and then to a desired EU country
  4. Welkom! I never had any problems with customs. I think they're too busy looking for bigger packages from Asia containing rep bags and such. Every now and then they take a random small package, if it contains your watch, you're out of luck...
  5. Ok.. so this is a common issue, I thought I was the only one around here with a missing washer/ring/rubber-something
  6. If it's not too much asked, could you take a pic of it and show where it needs to be?
  7. When I shake my 3717 to wind it, I hear a ticking noise like something is loose. I assumed it was the rotor, and I thought well, even though I never opened a watch in my entire life before I know how to fasten a little screw! So as I opened the caseback with my bare hands I felt like a surgeon. I fantasized about gushing blood and holding a beating heart. After I snapped back into the real world I noticed it wasn't a loose rotor, It's the 'magnetic shield' that has space to move around and creating the ticking noise. Is there any way to prevent this ticking noise from happening (without removing the magnetic shield)? Is there a rubber ring missing or something? Please advise...
  8. Ok thanks a bunch! It got me worried after reading some posts here. Good thing I only have to change the date once a month, and I will caress that crown to the uttermost while screwing it back in with some Marvin Gaye playing in the background
  9. Here's another nice rivet strap https://teddy-straps.3dcartstores.com/Ready-made-Pilot-straps-for-your-IWC-Big-Pilot_p_569.html However this is 22mm, but im positive that he can make a 21mm to fit a 3717.
  10. Lol i have the same wifey problems! She keeps me from buying a tc sub and an ap diver because she doesnt like rubber straps xD
  11. Hmm I have seen quite a few BPs, both gen and rep but never seen anything like this. I think it was polished to the owners specs (If that's even possible). Or he had it done someplace else. Maybe you can contact them at sales@priceless-shine.com and pretend that youre interested, but affraid that its a rep and that you hate reps
  12. That is a very special pam, it's from the year 2038 where they started making moonphase pams. Sent from my iPhone 29S while riding my Delorean
  13. Great post!! I have a Vac 3717 which is ofcourse running on a A7750. I synced the time with my iPhone and after 4 days it is still synced by the very last second! However my PAM253 is running two minutes behind every 2minutes. But its two years old, and I cannot remember whether it was like that when I bought it or not... How do you wind a manually wind it btw? When I screw the crown back in on my 3717, it makes this funny noise... Is this normal/good/ok?
  14. Im selling mine, brand new & Vac modded!
  15. The mods: Vac AR Vac lume Vac DDW's The pics:
  16. oh crap! Ok this topic can be closed then...
  17. I read here and there that changing a strap on a ROO can be a real pain in the anus. I don't own a ROO (yet), but I felt like sharing this link for those who might encounter, or already have encountered, problems, frustrations and sleepless nights. Here you are: http://timetapestry.blogspot.nl/2008/09/finally-changing-shoesstraps-on-your.html?m=1 Cheers!
  18. Wow! Just wow! I think the black gator and the rose gold match perfectly! I have to wait 17 years until Im 40 LOL! Im afraid to buy a (rose) gold rep myself, Im worried that the plating will wear off pretty quick... Is is a daily use for you? Ok, one more time: WOW!
  19. Nice, very nice! This is still on the wislisht...
  20. Yes! It is one of my favorite IWC's! When I entered the rep game, I was looking for a decent rep aswell. But I was just frustrated by the fact that the position of the date is too darn high! Every now and then Im window shopping the sh*t out of that watch at the AD. Just as long until the owner tells me to leave (figure of speech)
  21. I dont think you will find this, because most people who buy a 3717 mod it (including me) or go franken. Simply because it is an amazing watch. Add $130 to your budget and you will be able buy a brand new one from any TD. Or keep your fingers crossed...
