its funny how SOME rep models come out before the genuine does... in this case... i think we will be waiting until after the CH new year... heck, may even be waiting until the summer months... I purchased a gen CA for that reason and i love it... tried to talk myself into a SA, but just couldnt do it... have to add... its always nice to swap out lesser quality asian movements with REAL quality swiss ones... and this is another one of those models... especially with the 6,9,12 format...

this is kind of the same terms but, maybe the same reason, some people here have a vintage sub, vintage sd, modern sub (black), modern sub (green), modern sd, all three gmt-masters... same looking model... AND it's just never enough! but thats just me... I don't remember anyone posting at anytime "I wish they would rep the SuperOcean Steelfish" but, when they did... herds of people bought it because of its quality... create ANOTHER quality piece and the herds will follow again! and being that they already rep every single model that breitling makes (in any and all colors)... you wont be holding your breath for too long... Also, they have already produced a sufficient SS case for this model...(SS CA - surely, not 1:1, but 44mm compared to 45mm, it should work fine!) so whats left? dial and caseback... it utilizes a polished PROII bracelet just like SOSF... and lets not forget the different bezel... whats so hard about this? my thoughts are they will come out with a crappy quality black version first... PP

SS, Two Tone, or Gold?!?! SS versions will be closer in weight to the gen than Two Tone or Full Gold... i.e. gold has some weight to it... hope this helps you make your decision... also, KING has some good variations of some datejust and daydate models... go to cclv.net...

FYI, these (SS Versions) are going for as low as 2700-2900US on TZ... as for being rep'd... i am crossing fingers that the factory(s) that made the SOSF, make this particular rep as well... they did a great job with that one... why not throw this one into the mix! PP

right is nicer than SSD, so it must be gen... the giveaway for me is the SEL's and how they fit to case just under the lugs... the SSD lacks this trait towards the start of the bracelet and starts to pop over the lugs... which is present in you image... EDIT: here is some other items that show the differences in the details between the two...

nah, i hear ya man... and i agree to the eye its nice. as far as being compared to gen, it is crap... squeaky and clanky... also, doesn't follow the curvature of the lugs correctly... and thats a biggy FOR ME, but not all... (towards the spring-pin side, it starts to peak over the lugs. Hate that! it is as if they drilled the SEL in the wrong place... a matter of a millimeter or two...) again, wearing this thing in public with either bracelet is no big deal... most wouldn't notice... but I DO! side note: i need to just get a new camera already and start showing my points more clearly... but, if you look at ANY (modern gen) RLX model on fleaBay compared to ANY model on our dealers sites, you will see almost all of them have this attribute: SEL's are AT or OVER the lugs at some point... now, i am sure with some work you can make the rep bracelet feel pretty silky... but having it fit perfectly WITHOUT popping over the lugs is what i am going for here!!! (hence, the use of a gen bracelet, and yes, i know its incorrect for the model since it doesn't have polished sides) PP

why would tear apart a perfectly good gen? 'cskent69' has a gen crystal that is being sent to Zig next month for his SSD... I think we can get the skinny from Zig once he is back from his overdue break... trust me, i am as giddy as the next guy about this topic... i have even looked into micro-lathes just in case it requires some work to get it to fit... i thought i read somewhere that the SSD crystal is about .5mm to .8mm smaller than the gen... something like 28.7mm vs. 29.4mm?!?! that could be totally incorrect!!! i am just going off what i thought i read somewhere... hopefully we can expedite this one major issue regarding the SSD... (besides the crap bracelet, which i have switched out with a gen sub bracelet, which fits perfectly by the way... ) PP

well, he might wanna think about getting rid of those as i was told by an AD that RLX is going to make those SS models more available and make their Milgaus series more rare... apparently, RLX doesn't want re-sellers profiting on their rare models... however, i don't see the milgaus models being as popular as the daytonas... so, who knows! but being that those are all zeniths... they may be worth more and more EVERYDAY! PP

'cskent69' has a gen crystal he was going to have fitted into the SSD in January... maybe he can get you some sizing information... i also know that the genuine crystal has a notch around the bottom of the crystal that most likely snaps into the gasket for further waterproofing... if you could mimic the gen crystal in this way, that would be way cool! another thing that needs to be established is the DIAMETER of the rep vs. gen. i have a feeling that the gen crystal will expose the rehaut in a way to make it look more like genuine. the combination of height, width, and bevel are totally wrong on the rep... and $250 for a gen crystal is just ridiculous! PP
