if its brushed, a light scotch brite pad should do the trick... cut it up into a small piece so you don't scratch other areas... the trick is to start on one end of the scratch and follow through to the end of it... you want to brush it as straight as possible... DO NOT scratch back and forth as the brushed area may not look straight! might actually put curved brush mark into the case... hope this helps ya!

anyone have gen dial in a rep pics yet?

typically i do my own watch work and apparently the people i do know cant keep up with my spending habits...... i have also found that some people are just so backed up and limiting their work... right now, i just need some dials swapped... is there anyone doing work anymore in the US?!?!

i don't get it.... as long as the Chinese keep replicating movements with improvements to their tolerances and quality.... whats the big deal? lets see, i can already go on eBay and find a replacement movement for ANY of my watches... and the more reps = the more parts... this has been beaten to death already...

dude... that case is nowhere near the correct thickness nor shape of the deep sea... the sad thing is, the SEL's fit like old sub cases (above the case like the yachtmaster) and it looks like they are matching the old style sub/sd's where it is recessed into the lugs... we will probably be into 10 different versions before they get this one right...

I have both right now... PAN and BOB... I have ordered about 8 different Breit-style CALF models from BOB recently... OUT OF THE BOX: The BOB is actually a better strap in looks as the Panatime is better to wear... AGAIN, out of the box... The panatime seemed to be softer and formed easily and quickly but also seemed to carry PAM strap attributes... HOWEVER, the reason the BOB takes a little more time to break in is because, it actually has a thicker bump made into the strap like the GEN does... it actually makes the strap look more substantial... I prefer the BOB based on it physical attributes... Hope this helps...

POSITIVES: the bezel seems to be sharper looking then the gen... the case color seems to be pretty good... NEGATIVES: they painted the sub-dial hands all red as the gen is red and gold mounting points... the micro-pics also show the 3 o'clock dot being painted up into the date window as the gen shows it not even touching the date window... all red hands seems to be showing white around the edges... seems they need a second coat of red... however, this is NOT very noticeable when wearing it on your wrist... what do you guys see?!?! PP
