i have to ask if you know that the chrono SECONDS hand does not move unless you start it... you stated "The weird part is that if I press the chrono button the seconds @ 9 works as well." does that mean the BIG SECONDS HAND works as well as the SMALL SECONDS hand?

I am beginning to believe that the images of this model were most likely taken around the same time as the SS model. It only makes sense to see this model in the same state as the first V1. We all know by now that this isn't the final model. However, that doesnt mean this model won't introduce flaws that the SS model doesn't have. Such as the actual color of the case/bezel assembly. That may be the blatant flaw on this one. Hopefully they REALLY use the gen as a guide to get it right, but I doubt that!

this has definitely been an expensive month!!! all the breit models i have ever liked being released in the same month!!! BCEv2.1, CASL, & SA.

Forgot about this thread! I was hoping we can get something made to replace the SSD crystal... i dont see how it could be too hard to create a crystal with the required attributes of both pieces...

i agree with ubi about building your own... i bought the skyland "super-rep" and i am currently putting a swiss movement in it and trying to source a gen dial due to the lume markers being absolute crappy alignment... of course, i also live by the saying "you want it done right, do it yourself". even some pams models i have had needed to be butchered... even making your own fantasy models is a way to getting away with wearing a rep around a WIS and having him say: hey! they don't make a PVD PAM196! but, i do understand where pamlover is coming from... they are making these new, great, more correct, models... they might as well start refining the old ones too... ESPECIALLY something as simple as a Panerai!

i will 2nd, 3rd, and 4th that comment... EDIT: WAIT! i just wanna $450 SUPER REP for $250... they did it with the skyland... might as well not give the Cartel anymore reason to hike the prices on Pams too...

sorry to take away from the bracelet part of this thread but... ATTENTION: dealers/manufacturing people!!! HERE YE, HERE YE!!! LOOK at those lugs... nice, new, & sharp, not rounded off and cheap looking... If you can make a bracelet that slices wrists like the noob subs... You can make LUGS that look like that!!!!

didn't want to nitpick too much... but you said it! can something like the 4 be fixed? it is running over the lines... and i thought lume had to be scraped off and re-applied... wonder if the dial would have to be re-painted of some sort... you know, looks great anyway... i am sure after a year or two a genuine dial will EVENTUALLY be available on the web or even through some of the members and this wont even be a big deal... PP

looks awesome... BUT it looks like the whoever did the lume dots had never used a coloring book before... STAY INSIDE THE LINES!!!! you can see the 4 o'clock dot is a little out of wack and this isn't even a CLOSE UP!!!

having owned the gen a while back... i can honestly say, i REALLY miss wearing that thing!!! if they could construct something like the quality of today's new pieces... i would be all in! however, they have gotten a lot cheaper these days... saw one on TZ for 1600 or 1800... cant remember...

this may be available, but thought i would ask... Is there a "Stripped down version" of the forum that we can use? similar to TZ with no images, no crazy banners, just text? PP

UPDATE: Josh stated that it is indeed a SAMPLE watch... and the customer will not be shipped the incorrect 80 80 version...

I just got emails back from Josh and Andrew and they stated that what is shown is what you get! So, who is right? PP

i didnt see this model on his website... lately, it seems to only trust dealers who 'show' the goods... not 'talk' the goods...
