!!!UPDATE!!! My first attempt at finding someone to do the PVD work has come to a screeching halt!!! I need to make a SIMILAR copy of this: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=67371 However, the customer wants a B&R/Invicta look to it... Meaning, he wants the Bezel numbers AND Dial numbers to be orange or red... I just need the PVD coating done and i can get the rest done elsewhere... Apparently, the PAM196 is very complicated for some poeple who do PVD coating because of the pushers... I guess they seem to be more hassle than its worth for some people... not being able to have them held sufficiently throughout the process... ajoesmith: Do you have issues with chronograph models?!?! NOTE: i have already disassembled the entire thing...

This shows the amount of spacing on the loop hole for the 22/18 strap... notice the extra spacing is about 2mm... but it looks JUST FINE!!!

i guess getting a custom crystal produced would pretty costly?!?!

so whats the plan of attack on this one?!?! i had been waiting for jay to send this to The Zigmeister since the arrival of this model! sadly, the gen was smaller in diameter than the ssd... i would be in for a few of these if we can get them to someone to re-construct it... my only question is... looking at the differences... can a crystal be replicated correctly? it looks as if the ssd crystal requires more meat taken out of the bottom of it... i agree that with the lesser angle would show off the rehaut better and should at least look "less distorted"... (in theory) in looking at these in the flat position, i also think that the sides should be clear as opposed matte finish... whatcha think?? EDIT: one last thing... anyway we could utilize the notch in the crystal like the gen by using a custom gasket as well???

yeah! It was a concern for me too, but don't worry about it... even the bob deployment is a 22/20 and works/looks just fine!

I would rather not have the engraving until they can make it look cleaner and use smaller text... it is so weird how on some models, they can make the engraving so nice, and on others (like this) it looks rather crappy and last minute... when you see the genuine chapter ring in person, it definitely does NOT pop out at you like this one does... the RLX text is huge on this!!! However, the bezel assembly is a plus!!! Assuming that there is no need for modifying the bezel ring... But, you would think after years and years and years of these models that use the pearl at 12... that they would have tweaked the manufacturing of it to look like gen so you wouldn't have to buy a new insert!!! it always sucks buying a $400 dollar watch just to have to put and additional $100 into it just make it look presentable... Also, once again, the SEL's just don't work! to high on the case as always... they look loose and rounded off on the top and sides... typical MBW though... Another weird thing is how they can manufacture sharp edges on some things, but not others... anyone who has handles a gen piece knows the differences between rep and gen bracelets... and some can see/feel it right away... and the top of the SEL's being rounded off clearly scream rep... any why cant they get the damn holes correct in the case?!?! lately, there have been too many models the have SEL's popping over the lugs!!! I just don't get it!!! not really impressed yet, and thats just my thoughts... you wont see me wearing this version... which i hope is VERSION 1 and that they plan on improving on this... PP

is the date font in fact like gen? i am looking at getting a 164... but when i look at the images and see the rotor having decals as opposed to being engraved or painted, i get a little concerned over quality...
